2017–18 Big Bash League Season
The 2017–18 Big Bash League season or BBL, 07 was the seventh season of the KFC Big Bash League, the professional men's Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The tournament started on 19 December 2017 and finished on 4 February 2018. Perth Scorchers were the defending champions. The competition was extended to a total of 40 group games for the first time, each team playing ten matches in the group. The title was won by Adelaide Strikers (their first ever and sole BBL title until now), who defeated Hobart Hurricanes at the Adelaide Oval. Teams Venues Thirteen venues were selected to host the matches with Traeger Park, GMHBA Stadium and University of Tasmania Stadium all holding their first BBL match. Daniel Vettori
Daniel Luca Vettori (born 27 January 1979) is a New Zealand cricket coach and former cricketer who played for the New Zealand national cricket team. He was the 200th player to win their Test cricket cap for New Zealand. Vettori was the youngest male player to have represented New Zealand in Test cricket, making his debut in February 1997 at the age of 18. Mitchell Ross Marsh (born 20 October 1991) is an Australian international cricketer. Marsh has represented Australia in all three forms of cricket, making his debut during the 2011–12 season. Andrew McDonald (cricketer)
Andrew Barry McDonald (born 5 June 1981) is the head Australian cricket coach and former cricketer who played for the Victoria and South Australia cricket teams. He was born in Wodonga, Victoria and currently lives in Geelong, Victoria. He made his Test match debut in Sydney on 3 January 2009, against South Africa.
