Daniel Parra
Daniel Alexis Parra Durán (born 20 July 1999) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League, on loan from Liga MX club Monterrey. Early life Parra began playing football with the youth system of Pachuca. In 2014, he joined the youth system of Monterrey. Club career On 14 August 2016, Parra made his debut for Monterrey, in a CONCACAF Champions League match against Don Bosco. On 14 August 2016, he made his Liga MX debut coming on as a substitute in the 89th minute for Celso Ortiz in the 2-1 victory against Necaxa. In 2019, he began his first full senior season, however, his progress was interrupted by knee injuries to both knees, that kept him out of action for a year and a half, prompting the club to pursue loan options upon his return. Celaya
Celaya (; ) is a city and its surrounding municipalities of Mexico, municipality in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, located in the southeast quadrant of the state. It is the third most populous city in the state, with a 2005 census population of 310,413. The municipality for which the city serves as municipal seat, had a population of 415,869. 2021 CONCACAF Champions League
The 2021 CONCACAF Champions League (officially the 2021 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League for sponsorship reasons) was the 13th edition of the CONCACAF Champions League under its current name, and overall the 56th edition of the premier football club competition organized by CONCACAF, the regional governing body of North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament, which usually starts in mid-February each year, was started in April, and concluded with the final in October, which was played as a single-leg match hosted by the finalist which had the better performances in previous rounds. 2024 Forge FC Season
The 2024 Forge FC season is the sixth season in the history of Forge FC and the club's sixth season in the Canadian Premier League (CPL), the top flight in Canadian soccer. Forge is the defending CPL champions, having defeated Cavalry FC in the 2023 final for their fourth championship. The club is managed by Bobby Smyrniotis in his sixth season as head coach. Leagues Cup
The Leagues Cup is an annual association football competition between clubs from Major League Soccer and Liga MX in North America. It debuted in July 2019 with four teams participating from each league. The first edition was a single-elimination tournament hosted in the United States with a final played in Las Vegas on September 18, 2019. Beginning in 2023, the tournament will be expanded to include all clubs from MLS and Liga MX, and will function as the regional cup for the North American zone within CONCACAF, with the top three teams qualifying for the CONCACAF Champions League.
