The Estadio Azteca will be closed from 2023 to 2025 due to renovations for the

The league champion with more points at the end of the Apertura 2022 and Clausura 2023 seasons will qualify directly to the
2024 CONCACAF Champions League round of 16. The league champion with less points at the end of the season will qualify for the 2024 CONCACAF Champions League first round.
