Daniel Kox
Daniel Kox (born 4 February 1952, Ottignies) is a Belgian cartoonist and comics artist, best known for his comics series ''Agent 212''. Biography Early in his career, Kox worked as an assistant for Dino Attanasio. In 1970 began publishing ''Vladimir et Firmin'' (''Vladimir and Firmin''), a series of one-page strips about a forest ranger and a poacher which appeared in the Belgian comics monthly magazine Samedi-Jeunesse and in 1974, started working with Spirou magazine. In 1975, Kox and writer Raoul Cauvin created ''Agent 212'', a humorous about a somewhat gaffe-prone policeman. This very successful series remains Kox' best known work and thirty volumes have been published by Dupuis Éditions Dupuis S.A. () is a Belgium, Belgian publisher of comic albums and magazines. A bracket is either of two tall fore- or back-facing punctuation marks commonly used to isolate a segment of text or data from its surroundings. Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve (; wa, Ocgniye-Li Noû Lovén) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. Agent 212
Agent 212 is a humorous Belgian comic about a rotund police officer who usually suffers as a result of the people and situations he encounters. Created by writer Raoul Cauvin and illustrator Daniel Kox, the comic debuted in ''Spirou'' magazine on 12 June 1975. The first album of the series was published in 1981 by Belgian publishing house ''Dupuis''. To date, 30 comic albums of ''Agent 212'' have been published by Dupuis in French and Dutch. ''Agent 212'' is among the best selling French comics, with 66,000 copies for the 25th album in 2006. The series is also popular in Indonesia. Dino Attanasio
Dino Attanasio (real name Edoardo Attanasio, born 8 May 1925) is a Belgian author of comics. Biography Attanasio was born in Milan. After studies at the Academy of Arts of Milan, Dino Attanasio started to work in illustration and animation in the 1940s. He moved to Belgium in 1948 with his brother Gianni, also an artist. Shortly after his arrival, the young artist got in contact with ''Tintin'' magazine, for which he drew some illustrations, and decided to devote himself to comics. In the 1950s, he published '' Criche e Croc'' in the Italian magazine ''Il Giornalino'' and ''Fanfan et Polo'' in ''La Libre Belgique'' with scripts by Jean-Michel Charlier and then René Goscinny.
