Dino Attanasio
Dino Attanasio (real name Edoardo Attanasio, born 8 May 1925) is a Belgian author of comics. Biography Attanasio was born in Milan. After studies at the Academy of Arts of Milan, Dino Attanasio started to work in illustration and animation in the 1940s. He moved to Belgium in 1948 with his brother Gianni, also an artist. Shortly after his arrival, the young artist got in contact with ''Tintin'' magazine, for which he drew some illustrations, and decided to devote himself to comics. In the 1950s, he published '' Criche e Croc'' in the Italian magazine ''Il Giornalino'' and ''Fanfan et Polo'' in ''La Libre Belgique'' with scripts by Jean-Michel Charlier and then René Goscinny. The ''Corriere dei Piccoli'' (Italian for "Courier of the Little Ones"), later nicknamed ''Corrierino'' ("Little Courier"), was a weekly magazine for children published in Italy from 1908 to 1995. It was the first Italian periodical to make a regular feature of publishing comic strips. Publication history ''Corriere dei Piccoli'' was established in 1908. Dick Matena (born 24 April 1943) is a Dutch comics writer and cartoonist. He has also published under the pseudonyms A. den Dooier, John Kelly and Dick Richards. He has made several kinds of comics, from humor comics to erotic comics, but is best known for his comic book adaptations of famous literary novels. Bandoneon (comics)
The bandoneon ( es, bandoneón) or bandonion is a type of concertina particularly popular in Argentina and Uruguay. It is a typical instrument in most tango ensembles. As with other members of the concertina family, it is held between the hands, and played by pulling and pushing air through bellows, routing it through sets of tuned metal reeds by pressing the instrument's buttons. Unlike most accordions, bandoneons always employ the same sets of reeds to produce their sound, and do not usually have the register switches common on accordions. Nevertheless, the bandoneon can be played very expressively, using various bellows pressures and other techniques. The left and right hand have different timbres due to the wooden box on the left side which gives the left hand a nasal and muted timbre, in contrast with the right hand which is usually bright and sharp. ''Eppo'' is a Dutch comic magazine named after the protagonist of the back-page-gags. It was the result of the merging of the magazines ''Pep'' and ''Sjors''. ''Eppo'' ran as a weekly magazine from 1975 to 1988; it was revived in 2009 as a fortnightly magazine. History and profile The first thirteen issues of ''Eppo'' appeared in the last three months of 1975 and introduced comics such as ''Storm'', ''Roel Dijkstra'', '' Franka'' (originally a character from the ''Pep''-featured '' Het Misdaadmuseum'') and '' Sjors & Sjimmie''. Martinus Spyridon Johannes Lodewijk (born 30 April 1939) is a Dutch comics writer and cartoonist, and advertising adviser. Martin Lodewijk was born in Rotterdam. He dropped out of high school in 1957, and started drawing cartoons, notably of spacecraft and pirates. In 1959, his first cartoon was published in the newspaper ''Het Parool'', after which he specialized in drawing for commercial advertising. For the weekly comics magazine ''Pep'', he co-created with Jan Kruis the ''Agent 327'' comic in 1966, a feature he ended up writing and drawing for close to fifty years.
