Danica Dakić
Danica Dakić (born 1962) in Sarajevo) is a Bosnian artist and university professor. She works primarily with video art, Installation art, installation and photography. Her works have been widely exhibited, including at Documenta, documenta 12 (2007) and at the 58th Venice Biennale (2019), where she represented Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dakić lives and works in Düsseldorf, Weimar, and Sarajevo. Life and education Danica Dakić was born in 1962 in Sarajevo and grew up in Yugoslavia. She studied from 1981 to 1985 at the Sarajevo Academy of Arts and then moved to the University of Arts in Belgrade, where she continued her studies until 1988 and completed her master's degree in painting. In 1988 she left Yugoslavia and went to Germany, where she studied from 1988 to 1990 at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in the class of Nam June Paik. Ivo Andrić
Ivo Andrić ( sr-Cyrl, Иво Андрић, ; born Ivan Andrić; 9 October 1892 – 13 March 1975) was a Yugoslav novelist, poet and short story writer who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1961. His writings dealt mainly with life in his native Bosnia under Ottoman rule. Born in Travnik in Austria-Hungary, modern-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, Andrić attended high school in Sarajevo, where he became an active member of several South Slav national youth organizations. Following the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in June 1914, Andrić was arrested and imprisoned by the Austro-Hungarian police, who suspected his involvement in the plot. As the authorities were unable to build a strong case against him, he spent much of the war under house arrest, only being released following a general amnesty for such cases in July 1917. The Bauhaus Museum Weimar is a museum dedicated to the Bauhaus design movement located in Weimar, Germany. The Stiftung Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum - Center for International Sculpture is a museum in Duisburg, Germany. Sculptures by Wilhelm Lehmbruck, after whom the museum is named, make up a large part of its collection. Kunsthalle Düsseldorf is an exhibition hall for contemporary art in Düsseldorf.
