Danan (volcano)
Danan (uncertain derivation) was one of the three volcanic cones (the others being Perboewatan and Rakata) on the island of Krakatoa, in the Sunda Strait, in Indonesia. It stood , lay in the central area of the island, and may have been a twin volcano. Danan was almost entirely destroyed in the 1883 eruption of Krakatoa; only a rocky islet named Bootsmansrots remains of it. Form Not much can be found about Danan; the interior of Krakatoa was little explored or surveyed. There were several peaks, and Verbeek surmised that it formed a "ring-shaped crater wall". In one of the photographs of Perboewatan erupting in May 1883, Danan's irregular shape can be seen in the background, partially obscured by the ash cloud arising from Perboewatan. Danan ( so, Dhanaan) (or "Denan") is a town in the eastern part of Ethiopia known as the Ogaden. Located in the Gode Zone of the Somali Region (or ''kilil''), and it is located the main road between Gode and Kebri Dahar (Qabridahare) the nearest towns with electricity. Hughes is a football analyst and commentates the weekly Missouri Valley Football Conference Game of the Week. Michael Danan Henry (born 1939) is an American Roshi in the Harada-Yasutani lineage, a Zen sect derived from both the Rinzai and Sōtō traditions of Japanese Zen, practicing in the Diamond Sangha lineage of Robert Baker Aitken. The founding teacher of the Zen Center of Denver, Henry received Dharma transmission from Philip Kapleau Roshi in 1989 and was subsequently recognized as a Diamond Sangha teacher and master by Robert Baker Aitken. Elora Danan is a fictional character from the 1988 fantasy film ''Willow'', and in the 2022 sequel TV series, ''Willow''. She is a Daikini, one of the average-sized races of people in the film (as opposed to the dwarf-sized Nelwyns). Rabbi Saadiah ben Maimon ben Moshe ibn Danan ( he, סעדיה אבן דנאן) (born 2nd half of 15th century in Granada, Spain – died 1493(?) in Oran, Algeria) was a grammarian of Hebrew and Arabic, poet and a halachic authority.
