Dan Yemin
Daniel Yemin is an American vocalist and musician in the melodic hardcore punk scene. He played guitar in the early 1990s with the band Lifetime, and in the late 1990s with Kid Dynamite. Yemin also played in Resurrection (sic). Since 2001, he has been the vocalist of Jade Tree Records hardcore band Paint It Black, and still plays guitar in Lifetime, who reformed in late 2005. He also plays bass in Armalite, a band fronted by Adam Goren whose debut album is available through No Idea Records. Additionally, he recently started a new band called Open City with fellow Paint It Black member Andy Nelson and Bridge and Tunnel guitarist Rachel Rubino in Philadelphia. They released their self-titled debut in January 2017. Yemin grew up in Westfield, New Jersey. After Kid Dynamite broke up in 2000, Yemin suffered a stroke. Melodic Hardcore
Melodic hardcore is a broadly defined subgenre of hardcore punk with a strong emphasis on melody in its guitar work. It generally incorporates fast rhythms, melodic and often distorted guitar riffs, and vocal styles tending towards shouting and screaming. Nevertheless, the genre has been very diverse, with different bands showcasing very different styles. Many pioneering melodic hardcore bands (such as Bad Religion and Descendents), have proven influential across the spectrum of punk rock, as well as rock music more generally. The term "melodic punk" is often used to describe both melodic hardcore and skate punk bands. 88 Fingers Louie is an American punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois, United States, which was formed in 1993. After disbanding in 1999, guitarist Dan Wleklinski and bassist Joe Principe formed the well-known punk rock band Rise Against. The band reunited in 2009, and has continued playing shows in Chicago, Canada, Belgium, Las Vegas, and Asbury Park. The band held a 20th anniversary show in 2013. The name comes from a Flintstones gangster who sells dodgy pianos. ''Lifetime'' is the fourth album by American punk rock band Lifetime. Background Lifetime broke up following the release of their studio album ''Jersey's Best Dancers'' in 1997; they reformed to play at Hellfest in August 2005, though the festival was later cancelled. Their eventual reunion shows were held in January 2006 on the US West Coast, with support from the Loved Ones, followed by an appearance at the South by Southwest music conference. On March 28, 2006, it was announced that the band had signed to Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy's label Decaydance, which was an imprint of Fueled By Ramen. Wentz explained that he signed the group "because the world needs another Lifetime record." "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" is a 1973 song by Bruce Springsteen, from his ''The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle'' album, and is especially famed as a concert number for Springsteen and The E Street Band. ''Jersey's Best Dancers'' is the third studio album by American punk rock band Lifetime. It was released on June 10, 1997, through Jade Tree Records. Background and production With the release of their second studio album ''Hello Bastards'' in September 1995, Lifetime solidified their line-up as Ari Katz on vocals, Dan Yemin and Pete Martin on guitar, Dave Palaitis on bass, and Scott Golley on drums. The album, which earned the band a dedicated following, was promoted with tours of the United States and European territories. By early 1996, Lifetime began writing material for their next album.
