Dan Single
Dan Single is an Australian fashion designer known for co-founding denim brand Ksubi. Early life Single grew up on Sydney's Northern Beaches with one brother. He was a DJ and surfer throughout his youth. Career In 1999, Single and his friends Gareth Moody and George Gorrow started the Australian fashion and denim brand Ksubi to make jeans with a good fit. Single met Gorrow in the late 1990s at a skateboard fair in Los Angeles and started the brand with a collection of jeans and T-shirts at Australian Fashion Week in 2000. The brand has evolved from just denim and has become a large part of international street culture releasing collaborations with artists such as Kanye West, Dim Mak and Tiga. Late in 2005, Gorrow and Single split with Ksubi co-founder Gareth Moody. As of December 2005, Single and Gorrow owned stakes of 53 per cent and 36 per cent respectively in the company. Ksubi is an Australian fashion label founded in 1999 on Sydney’s northern beaches. Known for signature denim and box-cross logo, the brand has built an international presence and can be found in premium stores across Australia, North America and Europe. History In 1999 Gareth Moody, Dan Single, Paul Wilson and George Gorrow were dissatisfied with the range of denim fits on the market, leading them to manufacture their own jeans and other denim garments (originally under the name tsubi). ksubi made its international debut in London in 2002, with fashion displays held in an abandoned tube station at Aldwych. In 2006, the brand changed its name to ksubi as a result of a trademark infringement dispute. In 2010, ksubi was purchased by clothing manufacturer Bleach, who also owned and produced Insight and Something Else. In 2013, Bleach went into liquidation and Breakwater Management acquired ksubi. Stephanie Bambi Northwood-Blyth (born 1991), known professionally as Bambi Northwood-Blyth, is an Australian model known for her eyebrows and blue eyes. Early life Northwood-Blyth was born in Melbourne, Victoria and grew up learning the piano. Whilst her first name is Stephanie, her middle name of Bambi was adopted as a nickname. Pip Edwards (born 1980) is an Australian fashion entrepreneur and creative director. She is co-founder of sportswear label P.E Nation. Early life Edwards was the music captain at Ravenswood School for Girls and grew up playing piano and singing. As a child, Edwards edited clothes, created bracelets and sewed ribbons onto singlets to display her fashion flair. Edwards took a Commerce and Law degree at the University of Sydney.
