Dan Rothem
Dan Rothem (born December 3, 1976) is an Israeli baseball player. Player Israel Baseball League Rothem played for the Tel Aviv Lightning during the 2007 Israel Baseball League season. Following the first and only season of the Israel baseball league, Rothem won the MVP award. World Baseball Classic Rothem has represented Israel national baseball team in international tournaments. Rothem was on the roster for Israel at the World Baseball Classic during the 2013 qualifier, however he did not enter a game. Rothem along with Shlomo Lipetz and Alon Leichman were the only three players on the team to hold Israeli citizenship. European Baseball Championship Rothem represented Israel during the qualifying round of the 2010 European Baseball Championship. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. Dean Kremer
Dean Junior Kremer ( he, דין קרמר; born January 7, 1996) is an Israeli–American professional baseball pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball (MLB). In 2015 he became the first Israeli drafted by an MLB team. He made his MLB debut in September 2020. In international competition, Kremer pitched for the Team USA baseball team in the 2013 Maccabiah Games in Israel, winning a gold medal. The following two years he pitched for Israel in the qualifying for the European Baseball Championship, and won the Most Valuable Pitcher award in both 2014 and 2015. He also pitched in September 2016 in the qualifier for Israel at the 2017 World Baseball Classic. Kremer pitched for San Joaquin Delta College in his freshman year in 2014, and was named a Third Team All-American. This is a record of Israel national baseball team, Israel's results at the European Baseball Championship. Israel came in fourth in the 2019 European Baseball Championship. Honors During the 2016 C-Level qualifier, Dean Kremer was named the Euros’ Most Valuable Pitcher and Simon Rosenbaum (baseball), Simon Rosenbaum was named MVP. During the 2016 B-Level qualifier, Kremer once again won the Most Valuable Pitcher award. Israel led teams at the 2016 competition in almost every statistic possible during the C-Level qualifiers. Daniel Maddy-Weitzman (born 14 November 1986, in Tel Aviv, Israel) is an Israeli baseball player who is one of the few Israeli-born players to play at the NCAA level. Playing career College Maddy-Weitzman graduated from Haverford College in Pennsylvania in 2012, where he played on the varsity D3 baseball team for 4 years. Israel Baseball League Maddy-Weitzman started his career with the Ra'anana Express and is a product of the Israel Association of Baseball farm system. The 2010 European Baseball Championship was an international baseball competition held in Germany from July 23 to August 1, 2010.
