Israel At The European Baseball Championship
This is a record of Israel national baseball team, Israel's results at the European Baseball Championship. Israel came in fourth in the 2019 European Baseball Championship. Honors During the 2016 C-Level qualifier, Dean Kremer was named the Euros’ Most Valuable Pitcher and Simon Rosenbaum (baseball), Simon Rosenbaum was named MVP. During the 2016 B-Level qualifier, Kremer once again won the Most Valuable Pitcher award. Israel led teams at the 2016 competition in almost every statistic possible during the C-Level qualifiers. They led in hitting with a .309 average, .450 on base percentage, .509 slugging percentage. They also were the leaders in runs with 53, home runs with 9 and hit by pitch with 20. In addition to hitting they led in ERA with 1.05, strikeouts with an average of 11.5 per nine innings, opponents batting average with .140 and fielding percentage of .973. Israel National Baseball Team
The Israel national baseball team ( he, נבחרת ישראל בבייסבול) represents Israel in international competitions. It is managed by Israeli-American former Major League Baseball World Series champion, World Baseball Classic champion, All Star, and Olympian Ian Kinsler. At the 2017 WBC, Team Israel came in 6th. In 2021, Israel was ranked 20th in the world. The Israel national baseball team competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in 2021, where it beat Mexico and finished 5th. The team will next compete in the 2023 World Baseball Classic in March 2023 in Miami, Florida, against Team Puerto Rico, Team Dominican Republic, and Team Venezuela. Alon Leichman ( he, אלון ליישמן; born May 29, 1989) is an Israeli assistant pitching coach of the Cincinnati Reds in Major League Baseball. He also pitches and coaches for Team Israel. Ophir (; ) is a port or region mentioned in the Bible, famous for its wealth. King Solomon received a shipment from Ophir every three years (1 Kings 10:22) which consisted of gold, silver, sandalwood, pearls, ivory, apes, and peacocks.
