Dan Quigley
Daniel Quigley (born 1944) is an Irish retired hurling coach and former player who enjoyed a successful career as a full-back and as a centre-back with the Wexford senior team. Born in Donard, County Wexford, Quigley was introduced to hurling in his youth. He enjoyed All-Ireland success at colleges level with St. Peter's College while simultaneously enjoying championship successes at underage levels with the Rathnure club. A three-time Leinster medal winner with the Rathnure senior team, Quigley also won nine championship medals. Quigley made his debut on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Wexford minor team. After little success in this grade, he later won an All-Ireland medal with the under-21 team. Quigley made his senior debut during the 1962–63 league. He went on to play a key role for Wexford in defence during a successful era, and won one All-Ireland medal, three Leinster medals and one National Hurling League medal. Rathnure GAA
Rathnure St Anne's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Rathnure, County Wexford, Ireland. Rathnure's most famous players are the Rackards and Quigley brothers. First AGM At a meeting in Rathnure in the year 1931, Rathnure St Anne's GAA Club was founded. Founder members on that night were Pat Byrne, James O'Leary, Pat Doyle, Thomas Murphy, Nick Mernagh, Denis Brennan and Master O'Rielly. Also on the night, the meeting was attended by two 14-year-old boys Mikey Redmond and Ned Caulfield. John Quigley (hurler)
John Quigley (born 1949) is a former Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Rathnure and with the Wexford senior inter-county team in the 1960s and 1970s. Playing career Club Quigley played his club hurling with the famous Rathnure club and enjoyed much success. He won his first county title in 1967 before winning a four-in-a-row in 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974. These wins were converted into Leinster club titles in 1971 and 1973. Quigley won further county medals in 1977, 1979 and 1980. He continued his club hurling well into the 1980s, winning both county and Leinster titles in 1986. Inter-county Quigley first came to prominence on the inter-county scene as a member of the Wexford minor hurling team in the 1960s. Éamonn O'Donoghue (hurler)
Éamonn O'Donoghue (born 5 February 1951 in Blackrock, Cork, Ireland) is an Irish former sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Blackrock and was a member of the Cork senior inter-county team from 1974 until 1983. Playing career Club O'Donoghue first came to prominence as a member of the hugely successful Blackrock minor team of the late sixties. In all he won three successive minor championship medals as Blackrock secured a remarkable four-in-a-row between 1966 and 1969. By 1973 O'Donoghue had become a key member of the Blackrock senior team and lined out in his first championship decider. A 2–12 to 2–10 defeat of Glen Rovers gave him his first championship medal. Buffers Alley is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the villages of Kilmuckridge and Monamolin in County Wexford, Ireland. The club fields teams in Intermediate hurling, Gaelic football and camogie. It competes in Wexford competitions. History The Buffers Alley club is one of the oldest in Wexford, founded in the late 1870s. It came quickly to the fore and won its first title in 1905. Twenty-three lean years followed for the club but the spirit of the men of 1905 eventually bore fruit when they won another junior title in 1928. Pat Moylan (Cork Hurler)
Pat Moylan is an Irish former hurler who played as a midfielder at senior level for the Cork county team. Moylan joined the team during the 1970 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1981 championship. During that time he won three All-Ireland medals, three Munster medals, two National League medals and one All-Star award. At club level Moylan was a three-time All-Ireland medalist with Blackrock. In addition to this he has also won five Munster medals and five county club championship medals. Blackrock National Hurling Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club located on the southside of Cork City, Ireland. The club was founded in 1883 and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. No other Cork-based GAA club has won more Senior County Hurling titles or All-Ireland Club Championships. Rice College (Coláiste an RÃsigh in Irish) is a secondary school in Ennis, County Clare, Ireland founded in 1826. It is also a Congregation of Christian Brothers, C.B.S with a house on the property where "Brothers" still reside. No Brothers teach in the secondary school but it was previously run by the religious order. It was formerly an all-boys school, although girls were first admitted to repeat their Irish Leaving Certificate, leaving certificate examinations in 1985, it became coeducational in 1997.
