Dan Orsi
Daniel Orsi (born 31 March 1992) is a Scottish footballer who plays for Dalbeattie Star. Orsi has previously played for Queen of the South and Annan Athletic in the Scottish Professional Football League. Career Orsi is from Dumfries and a former pupil of Dumfries Academy. As well as playing in the youth set up for Queen of the South, Orsi made his début for the first-team, appearing as a substitute in a friendly match in season 2009-10 versus Celtic. Orsi was selected for six squads in the Scotland under-18 international set-up, namely for the matches versus Australia and New Zealand and also for the Centenary Shield matches versus England, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Wales. Queen of the South teammate Dean Thomson was also selected for the squad but had to withdraw due to tonsillitis. Dumfries
Dumfries ( ; sco, Dumfries; from gd, Dùn Phris ) is a market town and former royal burgh within the Dumfries and Galloway council area of Scotland. It is located near the mouth of the River Nith into the Solway Firth about by road from the Anglo-Scottish border and just away from Cumbria by air. Forthbank Stadium
Forthbank Stadium is a football stadium in Stirling, Scotland. Opened in 1993, it has been the home ground of Scottish Professional Football League club Stirling Albion since then. Since 2013 it has also hosted the first team matches of Lowland Football League team University of Stirling. The stadium has a capacity of 3,808. The pitch size is 110 x 74 yards. Jim Thomson (footballer, Born 1971)
James Thomson (born 15 May 1971) is a Scottish footballer. Nicknamed 'JT', Thomson was a central defender. Thomson's greatest achievements were during his 358 appearances for Queen of the South, where he was club captain. Thomson also enjoyed some success in shorter periods at Clyde and Arbroath and also played for Stenhousemuir. Thomson had a short spell as caretaker manager of Queen of the South during November and December 2016 and is currently player-manager of Kilsyth Rangers in the SJFA West Region Championship. Playing career Clyde Thomson began his senior football career at Clyde in 1991. Thomson made 151 league appearances and scored 11 goals. Rugby Park, also known as The BBSP Stadium Rugby Park for sponsorship reasons, is a football stadium situated in the Scottish town of Kilmarnock. It was first used in 1899 and is the home of Kilmarnock F.C. Rugby Park has also been used for concerts, with Elton John playing to 15,000 in a first for the venue. The 2016–17 West of Scotland Super League was the fifteenth Super League competition since the formation of the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region in 2002. New Cumnock is a town in East Ayrshire, Scotland. It expanded during the coal-mining era from the late 18th century, and mining remained its key industry until its pits were shut in the 1960s. Scottish Junior Football Association
The Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA) is an affiliated national association of the Scottish Football Association and is the governing body for the junior grade of football in Scotland. The term "junior" refers to the level of football played, not the age of the players. The closest equivalent terminology would be non-League football in England, the difference being that junior football in Scotland was not similarly integrated into its football league system until 2021.
