The 1st Infantry Division ''Dacica'' was one of the major units of the Romanian Land Forces, with its headquarters located in Bucharest. It was the heraldic successor of the Romanian First Army. Ariton is a town in Dale County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 662. It was incorporated in April 1906. The name is a blend of its two predecessor town names: ''Ari''osto and Charl''ton''. Ariton is part of the Ozark Micropolitan Statistical Area. Geography Ariton is located in northwestern Dale County at (31.598204, -85.718761). Alabama State Routes 51 and 123 pass through the center of town as Main Street. Alexandru Averescu
Alexandru Averescu (; 9 March 1859 – 2 October 1938) was a Romanian marshal, diplomat and populist politician. A Romanian Armed Forces Commander during World War I, he served as Prime Minister of three separate cabinets (as well as being ''interim'' Foreign Minister in January–March 1918 and Minister without portfolio in 1938). He first rose to prominence during the peasants' revolt of 1907, which he helped repress with violence. The 282nd Armored Brigade " Unirea Principatelor" (''Brigada 282 Blindată "Unirea Principatelor"'') is a Armored brigade of the Romanian Land Forces, originally formed as the 282nd Mechanized Regiment on 24 September 1968 and later designated as 282nd Mechanized Brigade "Unirea Principatelor". In 1980 and again in 1988, the 282nd Mechanised Regiment at Focșani was listed as being part of the 67th Mechanised Division (Romania), a "Ready Division - Reduced Strength II," (roughly what previous Western systems knew as Category B).Michael Holm67th Mechanised Division accessed 2020. Lieutenant general (Lt Gen, LTG and similar) is a three-star military rank (NATO code OF-8) used in many countries. The rank traces its origins to the Middle Ages, where the title of lieutenant general was held by the second-in-command on the battlefield, who was normally subordinate to a captain general. In modern armies, lieutenant general normally ranks immediately below general and above major general; it is equivalent to the navy rank of vice admiral, and in air forces with a separate rank structure, it is equivalent to air marshal. A lieutenant general commands an army corps, made up of typically three army divisions, and consisting of around 60 000 to 70 000 soldiers (U.S.).
