Dan Findlay is a record producer releasing music under the name Dan F. He is also a DJ and bar owner, based in Hong Kong. He is credited as one of the first Hong Kong based artists (alongside acts such as Technasia) to release contemporary club music (breakbeat, tech-house, minimal techno). Dan F has also released music under the aliases Red Buddha, Random Source (with Johan SoH aka Jariten, and Stisch) and Sinosine. Breakbeat is a broad type of electronic music that tends to use drum breaks sampled from early recordings of funk, jazz, and R&B. Minimal Techno
Minimal techno is a subgenre of techno music. It is characterized by a stripped-down aesthetic that exploits the use of repetition and understated development. Ghost Style
Ghost Style (born Brandon Ho 1973 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a Canadian rapper, producer and actor based in Hong Kong. He is credited with releasing the first English language rap album in Hong Kong (''Ghost Style's Alias'', 2002). He followed up with two other English rap albums (''Supathugz' How Deep Is Yo Love'' in 2004 and ''Ghost Style's Message Is Complete'', 2005). Lazy Mutha Fucka
LMF also known as Lazy Mutha Fucka or ''Lazy Muthafucka'', is a Cantonese hip-hop group in Hong Kong. The group, signed by Warner Music, was founded in 1993, disbanded in 2003 and regrouped in 2009. Some members of LMF are pursuing solo careers. In contrast with the norm of commercialized and packaged Cantopop at the time, LMF writes and perform their original music. All members of the group hailed from poverty and their songs often depict life and struggle in the underclass and working class; which created a lot of controversies due to the cursing and the subject matter. James Lavelle (born 22 February 1974) is an English electronic musician, record label owner and curator. He founded the Mo'Wax record label in 1992, and has been the only constant member of UNKLE. He directed the 2014 edition of the Meltdown festival on London's South Bank, and curated the 2016 exhibition "Daydreaming with Stanley Kubrick" at Somerset House. Lee Burridge
Lee Burridge (born November 1968) is a British DJ, producer, who helped launch the underground club scene in Hong Kong during the early 1990s, and today plays at nightclubs across the world. Renowned for his storytelling musical style in his DJ sets as well as for his energy and enthusiasm in the DJ booth, his style encompasses the deeper and groovier end of house and techno.
