Damián Lanza
Damián Enrique Lanza Moyano (born April 10, 1982) is an Ecuadorian former footballer who last played as a goalkeeper for Clan Juvenil in the Ecuador Serie B. Lanza was born in Cuenca and is half Argentinian, through his father. Career Lanza began his career in Argentina in Buenos Aires, but failed to make an impact and returned to Ecuador where he has enjoyed more success with Deportivo Cuenca and Aucas. He was in the Ecuador national team for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. Lanza was considered a surprise selection for the national team by the coach Luis Fernando Suárez. He successively moved to Europe during the 2006-2007 winter transfer season, joining Italian Serie B club Arezzo. On April 6, 2007 Lanza made his first start for Arezzo against Brescia. Luis Fernando Suárez Guzmán (born 23 December 1959) is a Colombian football manager and former player who played as a defender. He is the current manager of the Costa Rica national football team. Suárez has managed in six Latin American countries: Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Honduras, Mexico and Costa Rica. Managerial career Suárez led the Ecuador national football team to the round of 16 at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and won the 1999 Colombian championship with Atlético Nacional. The Liga Pro Betcris, simply known as the Liga Pro, or the Serie A, is a professional football league in Ecuador. At the top of the Ecuadorian football league system, it is the country's premier football competition. Club Deportivo Cuenca is an Ecuadorian football club based in Cuenca. They currently play in the Serie A, the top-flight football league in the country, and is one of two clubs from Cuenca to have played in the top-flight (the other being LDU Cuenca). Lega Pro Prima Divisione was the third highest football (soccer), football league in Italy. It consisted of 33 teams, divided geographically into two divisions of 16 and 17 teams for group A and B respectively. Until 2008 it was known as Serie C1.
