Dalsinghsarai or Dalsing Sarai is a city in the Samastipur District of Bihar, which is situated on the bank of the river Balan. Dalsinghsarai city was a tobacco and indigo production center during the British time. There is a myth about the city is that Dalsinghsarai was the first railway station of Bihar and the second of India. Dalsingh Sarai is a city council or Nagar Parishad. Mr. Rajesh Paswan is the chairman of Council. Mr. Chandan Prashad is vice- chairman of the Council. It is also one of the subdivisions, Anchal and block of Bihar. Vidyapati Nagar is a village in the Samastipur district, in Bihar, India. Named after great maithili poet Vidyapati (c. 1380 – 1460), also known by the sobriquet Maithil Kavi Kokil (the poet cuckoo of Maithili), was a Maithili and Sanskrit poet-saint, composer, writer, courtier and royal priest. Sonpur is a city and sub-division in the Indian state of Bihar, situated on the banks of the River Gandak (River Narayani) and Ganges River in the Saran District. Garib Rath Express
The Garib Rath ("Poor's chariot") is a no-frills air-conditioned train started by the Indian Railways in 2005 to provide subsidized price air-conditioned long-distance travel to passengers who could not afford standard fares of air-conditioned class in regular-fare trains. As the fares are less than two-thirds of the fares for air-conditioned classes in other trains, the distance between each seat or berth is less, the seats and berths are narrower and each coach has more seats and berths than in air-conditioned coaches in other trains.
