Dallara 192
The Dallara F192 was a Formula One car designed by Gian Paolo Dallara, of Dallara, and used by the BMS Scuderia Italia team during the 1992 Formula One season. The car was powered by the Ferrari V12 engine and ran on Goodyear tyres. First raced in the South African Grand Prix, the F192's best finish was two 6th places, both achieved by Pierluigi Martini, at the Spanish Grand Prix and San Marino Grand Prix respectively. It was the last Dallara chassis to be used by Scuderia Italia. Design and development For the 1992 season, team owner Giuseppe Lucchini took over Ferrari's engine supply arrangement with Minardi. This arrangement provided the team with Ferrari V12 engines, although to 1991 specification. The chassis, designed by Gian Paolo Dallara, was a development of the previous year's car but adapted for use with the new engine, which required a larger fuel cell. Fondmetal GR02
The Fondmetal GR02 was a Formula One racing car designed by Sergio Rinland and his Astauto studio for the 1992 Formula One season. Built to replace the Fondmetal GR01, as Fondmetal's team boss Gabriele Rumi had never been impressed by that car or its predecessor, the Fomet-1, the GR02 used the same 3.5-litre Ford '' HBA5'' V8 engine as its predecessor. Gabriele Tarquini gave the GR02 its début at the 1992 Canadian Grand Prix, whilst team mate Andrea Chiesa first drove it in the following 1992 French Grand Prix. Although the GR02 showed promise, and drew praise from the media, Fondmetal's financial difficulties meant that they withdrew from Formula One after the 1992 Italian Grand Prix. The 1992 Formula One World Championship was the 46th season of FIA Formula One motor racing. It featured the 1992 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1992 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a sixteen-race series that commenced on 1 March and ended on 8 November. The 1992 San Marino Grand Prix (formally the XII Gran Premio Iceberg di San Marino) was a Formula One motor race held at Imola on 17 May 1992. It was the fifth race of the 1992 Formula One World Championship. The 60-lap race was won from pole position by Nigel Mansell, driving a Williams-Renault. The 1992 Brazilian Grand Prix (formally the XXI Grande Prêmio do Brasil) was a Formula One motor race held at Interlagos on 5 April 1992. The 1992 Mexican Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City on 22 March 1992. It was the second race of the 1992 Formula One World Championship. The 69-lap race was won from pole position by British driver Nigel Mansell, driving a Williams Grand Prix Engineering, Williams-Renault in Formula One, Renault. Jordan 192
The Jordan 192 was a Formula One car designed by Gary Anderson and used by the Jordan team in the 1992 Formula One World Championship. The number 32 car was driven by Italian Stefano Modena and the number 33 car by Brazilian Maurício Gugelmin, both new to the team. After a successful debut season in the team lost their supply of Ford engines due to large debts. Instead Jordan signed a contract to run the Yamaha OX99 3.5L V12, which was supplied for free. One of the problems was that the team had already begun work on the 192 in the expectation that it would continue to run the Ford V8 rather than the much larger Yamaha V12.
