is a Japanese former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level between 2002 and 2022. Career He won two bronze medals in the team large hill event at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships ( 2007, 2009). He won four world cup individual competitions. Competing in two Winter Olympics, Ito earned his best finish of fifth in the team large hill event at Vancouver in 2010, He finished 20th in the individual event and 5th in the team event of a FIS Ski Flying World Championships 2004. In the World Cup he has finished in the top 10 a total of fourteen times. Shimokawa, Hokkaidō
is a town located in Kamikawa Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. , the town has an estimated population of 3,202 and a density of five persons per km². The total area is 644.20 km². FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2019
The 41st FIS Nordic World Ski Championships were held from 20 February to 3 March 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol, Tyrol, Austria. It was the second time Seefeld in Tirol hosted the world championships, the event having been hosted there previously in 1985. Host selection Championships was awarded to Seefeld in Tirol in Tyrol in Austria during the FIS Congress from 1–6 June 2014 in Barcelona, Spain. Finalist applicants were Seefeld in Tirol (Austria), Oberstdorf (Germany), Planica (Slovenia) and Almaty (Kazakhstan). Oberstdorf had already applied for 2013, 2015 and 2017, Planica for 2017. Seefeld submitted its candidacy shortly before the deadline. The Austrian winter sports resort had hosted the Championships in 1985, the German resort of Oberstdorf in 1987 and 2005. 2007–08 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup
The 2007–08 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup was the 29th World Cup season in history. The season began on 1 December 2007 in Kuusamo, and finished on 16 March 2008 in Planica. The season was dominated by Austrian pair Thomas Morgenstern and Gregor Schlierenzauer who between them won 16 of the 27 individual competitions. Thomas Morgenstern won the overall World Cup title – the first overall victory of his career – ahead of Gregor Schlierenzauer, with Finnish veteran Janne Ahonen finishing in third place. Ahonen won the traditional Four Hills Tournament, while Schlierenzauer won the Nordic Tournament. The previous year's overall winner Adam Małysz had a disappointing season, finishing 12th overall, and failing to get a podium finish in any of the 27 competitions.
