Miyuki Nakajima
(born February 23, 1952, Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and radio personality. She has released 43 studio albums, 46 singles, 6 live albums and multiple compilations as of January 2020. Her sales have been estimated at more than 21 million copies. In the mid-1970s, Nakajima signed to Canyon Records and launched her recording career with her debut single, "Azami Jō no Lullaby" (アザミ嬢のララバイ). Rising to fame with the hit " The Parting Song (Wakareuta)", released in 1977, she has since seen a successful career as a singer-songwriter, primarily in the early 1980s. Kayōkyoku
is a Japanese pop music genre, which became a base of modern J-pop. ''The Japan Times'' described ''kayōkyoku'' as "standard Japanese pop" or " Shōwa-era pop". ''Kayōkyoku'' represents a blend of Western and Japanese musical scales. Music in this genre is extremely varied as a result. ''Kayōkyoku'' in the narrower and more practical sense, however, excludes J-pop and ''enka''. Unlike "J-pop" singers such as Southern All Stars' Keisuke Kuwata, the singers of the ''kayōkyoku'' genre do not use stylized pronunciations based on the English language, but prefer traditional Japanese. ''10 Wings'' is the album by Japanese singer-songwriter Miyuki Nakajima, released in October 1995. The album consists of new studio recordings of the songs which she wrote for annual experimental theatres entitled , premiered in November 1989. Some songs already appeared on her previous studio albums released in the 1990s. They were newly recorded with the different interpretations for the album. One of them, remake version of "Two of Us" features Masanori Sera, a frontman of the Twist, on lead vocals. The lead-off track "Two Boats" was used in the 1996 film ''Kiri no Shigosen''. Lengthy arrangements of all the songs featured on the album are thoroughly altered from its original versions. While the song did not chart as high as other singles, it managed to spawn successful covers in various languages. Faye Wong ( zh, 王菲; born Xia Lin on 8 August 1969) is a Hong Kong singer-songwriter. Early in her career she briefly used the stage name Shirley Wong. is a 1975 song by Miyuki Nakajima. She redubbed it in 1993 for her album '' Jidai: Time Goes Around''. A popular cover was also released by Hiroko Yakushimaru in 1988. Hayley Westenra translated it and sung it in Hayley Sings Japanese Songs in 2008. An instrumental version was used in the opening credits of Leiji Matsumoto's series Cosmo Warrior Zero. It won the grand prize at the World Popular Song Festival in November 1975.
