''Dada Ima (End of The Hunt)'' ( si, දඩඉම) is a Sri Lankan Sinhalese drama thriller film directed by Dr. Naomal Perera and co-produced by director himself with Dr. Nishani Fernando foEnsquared Entertainment Private Limited.It stars Swarna Mallawarachchi and Jackson Anthony in lead roles along with Mahendra Perera, Akhila Dhanuddara and Marion Wettasinghe. Music composed by Nadeeka Guruge. It is the sequel to 1985 film ''Dadayama'' by Vasantha Obeysekera. In February 2020, the film won the Golden Fox award at Kolkata International Film Festival for the best maiden direction. Swarna Mallawarachchi
Swarna Mallawarachchi (born 1 August 1948: si, ස්වර්ණා මල්ලවාරච්චි), is an actress in Sri Lankan cinema. Often known as the "Golden star of Sinhalese cinema", Swarna began her acting career whilst still a schoolgirl, starring in the 1966 blockbuster film ''Sath Samudura'' directed by Siri Gunasinghe. During a career that spanning over 40 years, Swarna has won the 'Best Actress Award' 26 times, most by a Sri Lankan actress. Mahendra Shrikantha Perera (born 17 August 1956: si, මහේන්ද්‍ර පෙරේරා), is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, stage drama and television. One of the most influential actors in Sinhala cinema, Mahendra performed from drama to comedy in many blockbuster films. Vasantha Obeysekera
Vasantha Obeysekera (1937 – 2017), was a Sri Lankan film director and screenwriter. Early life and career Kala Keerthi Vasantha Obeysekera who was regarded as one of the foremost film makers in the 70s decade graduated from the University of Ceylon in 1962. He served on the Editorial Staff of the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited from 1964 to 1970. In addition to his editorial work, Obeysekera wrote several short stories during this period. Daya Thennakoon
Daya Bandara Tennakoon (born 29 November 1941 – died 17 April 2020 as දයා තෙන්නකෝන්) inhala, was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, stage drama and television. Personal life He was born on 29 November 1941 in the small village Galabadawatta, in Rangala, Kandy. He started primary education from Galabadawatta Primary School and then completed secondary education from Dharmaraja College, Kandy. His father was a tea estate keeper. After school times, he was selected to the University of Ceylon, Peradeniya and graduated with an arts degree. He was married to fellow actress Grace Ariyavwimal.
