DSL Brewers
The Dominican Summer League Brewers are a Minor League Baseball team of the Dominican Summer League (DSL) and a Rookie affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. They are located in Ramón Santana, San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic, and play their home games at the Tower Complex. The Milwaukee Brewers began fielding teams in the Dominican Summer League in 1989, though several teams were operated as co-ops in partnership with other Major League Baseball clubs. The DSL Brewers have played continuously since 2010 following previous stretches from 1991 to 1993 and 1997 to 2003. Milwaukee currently operates two DSL teams: the DSL Brewers 1 and DSL Brewers 2. The Brewers won their lone DSL championship in 2001. Mike Guerrero
Miguel Alberto "Mike" Guerrero (born January 8, 1968) is a former Major League Baseball coach (2014–15) with the Milwaukee Brewers and a former minor league player in the Brewers and Kansas City Royals farm systems from 1987 to 1995. Since he has been the manager of the Biloxi Shuckers, the Brewers' Double-A farm system affiliate. He also managed teams in the Brewers organization from 2004 to 2013. Playing career Guerrero played his first professional season in 1987 for the Rookie league Helena Brewers. In 1988, he played for Helena, the Rookie league Arizona League Brewers, and the Class A Beloit Snappers. He played for Arizona and Beloit again in 1989, as well as for the Class A-Advanced Stockton Ports. Guerrero spent the entire 1990 season with Stockton. In most North American sports, the phrase games behind or games back (often abbreviated GB) is a common way to reflect the gap between a leading team and another team in a sports league, conference, or division. Salomón Torres Ramirez (born March 11, 1972) is a Dominican former professional baseball player. He began his career in with the San Francisco Giants, and also played for the Seattle Mariners, Montreal Expos, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Milwaukee Brewers. In baseball, a closing pitcher, more frequently referred to as a closer (abbreviated CL), is a relief pitcher who specializes in getting the final outs in a close game when his team is leading.
