DKZ
DKZ (; formerly Dongkiz; , stylized in all caps) is a South Korean boy band formed and managed by Dongyo Entertainment. The group is composed of Kyoungyoon, Sehyeon, Mingyu, Munik, Jaechan, Jonghyeong, and Giseok, and previously Wondae until his departure from the group in March 2022. History 2018: Predebut The members of Dongkiz—Wondae, Kyoungyoon, Munik, Jaechan, and Jonghyeong—were trainees between one and three years. The group was modeled after New Kids on the Block. Dongkiz initiated promotional activities in August 2018, which included uploading dance covers onto Dongyo Entertainment's YouTube channel and busking. They also performed at the HEC Korea Concert in Thailand. Dongkiz released a Minneapolis sound-based pre-debut single entitled "Nom" on November 21, 2018. Lee Kyoung-yoon (, born February 21, 2000), also known by the mononym Kyoungyoon (), is a South Korean singer and actor. He is a member of the boy group DKZ. He received his first main role as a television actor in a June 2021 Educational Broadcasting System, EBS' international co-production drama, ''Beasts of Asia (TV series), Beasts of Asia''. He also starred in musical productions such as ''Equal'' and ''The Three Musketeers''. Park Jae-chan (Korean: 박재찬; born December 6, 2001), also known mononymously as Jaechan (Korean: 재찬), is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actor. He is a member of the K-pop boy group DKZ and its sub-unit Dongkiz I:Kan. As an actor, he is best known for his portrayal of Chu Sang-woo in the web novel-adapted BL drama series '' Semantic Error''. Early life and education Park Jae-chan was born on December 6, 2001, in Daegu, South Korea. His interest in music began in middle school upon hearing Justin Bieber's songs. During high school, Jaechan received his GED and became a trainee. In 2022, he entered the Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment at Global Cyber University together with his fellow members. New Jack Swing
New jack swing, new jack, or swingbeat is a fusion genre of the rhythms and production techniques of hip hop and dance-pop, and the urban contemporary sound of R&B. Spearheaded by producers Teddy Riley and Bernard Belle, new jack swing was most popular from the late-1980s to early-1990s. Its influence, along with hip hop, seeped into pop culture. Merriam-Webster's online dictionary defines new jack swing as "pop music usually performed by black musicians that combines elements of jazz, funk, rap, and rhythm and blues." New jack swing took up the trend of using sampled beats and tunes, and created beats using electronic drum machines such as the then-new SP-1200 sampler and the Roland TR-808 to lay an "insistent beat under light melody lines and clearly enunciated vocals." The Roland TR-808 was sampled to create distinctive, syncopated, swung rhythms, with its snare sound being especially prominent. Old-school hip hop (also spelled old skool) is the earliest commercially recorded hip hop music and original style of the genre. It typically refers to the music created around 1979 to 1983, as well as any hip hop that does not adhere to contemporary styles. Funk
Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century.
