DJ Koze
Stefan Kozalla (born 1972), better known as DJ Koze (), is a German DJ and music producer. Biography Born in Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Kozalla first became known in the Hamburg music scene. In the early 1990s, he started as a rapper and DJ for various hip-hop groups in Flensburg. In 1991, DJ Koze reached second place in the German DMC Championship (an offshoot of the Disco Mix Club). Two years later, he moved to Hamburg and founded together with Cosmic DJ, DJ Stachy and the "Schreckliche Sven" the hip hop formation ''Fischmob'', which persisted for about five years. In parallel, he also dealt with electronic music, increased his name recognition as a DJ and produced some remixes, sometimes under the pseudonym Adolf Noise. A collection of such remixes appeared in 2000 under the title ''Music Is Okay''. Sónar
Sónar is a festival dedicated to music, creativity and technology, founded in Barcelona in 1994 by Ricard Robles, Enric Palau, and Sergi Caballero. The festival has been divided into two parts since its inception: Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night, with a three-day congress, Sónar+D dedicated to Creativity, Technology and Business running concurrently since 2013. ''Spex'' was a German rock and pop culture magazine located in Berlin, Germany. Besides music news, ''Spex'' also covered literature, cinema, fashion and contemporary social trends. Since January 2008, ''Spex'' was headquartered in Berlin and included an audio CD. History The foundation The paper's first issue was published in Cologne in 1980 by a small group of writers who decided to found their own music paper: they were Gerald Hündgen, Clara Drechsler, Dirk Scheuring, Wilfried Rütten and Peter Bömmels. The Meredith Music Festival (otherwise known simply as Meredith or MMF) is a three-day outdoor music festival held every December at the "Supernatural Amphitheatre", a natural amphitheatre located on private farmland near the town of Meredith in Victoria, Australia. Nature One
Nature One is one of the largest European open air electronic music festivals, featuring many renowned DJs from Germany and all over the world. In significance it is not as big as Mayday nor as old, having started three years later than the Mayday festival. However attendance has surpassed the Mayday, even when one takes into account that the Mayday only lasts one evening, while the Nature One has two main evenings with additional smaller events from Thursday till Sunday. Overview ''Nature One'' tickets cost approximately 70 euros (as of 2010). Mayday (music Festival)
Mayday, like the former Love Parade, is one of the oldest and most reputed electronic music festivals in Germany, having its debut on 1991 and Katowice, Poland, having its debut on 2000. Despite the name, Mayday festivals date oscillates between April and December (these being called Winter Mayday). Currently, the festival takes place only in around 30 April in Dortmund and 10 November in Katowice. Mayday reflects and determines actual trends in techno music within present year. Time Warp Festival
Time Warp is an annual electronic music festival originated in Mannheim, Germany. The premiere was in 1994 in the " Walzmühle" in Ludwigshafen. Since 2000, the Mannheim Maimarkthalle has been a permanent venue every spring, with DJ greats such as Sven Väth, Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin being present from the very beginning. In 2019 the festival celebrated its 25th anniversary in Germany and was - as in the years before - completely sold out. The Time Warp Festival has also been present abroad since 2005, with stops in Prague, Vienna, Turin, Milan, Zurich and from 2008 to 2014 regularly in the Netherlands.
