DGUSA Untouchable
DGUSA Untouchable was a professional wrestling event series produced by Dragon Gate USA from 2009-2011. The events involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers were portrayed as either villains or heroes in the scripted events that build tension and culminate into a wrestling match or series of matches. As part of Dragon Gate USA's talent exchange agreement with independent promotion, Chikara, wrestlers from either company can work in either vicinity. At Enter The Dragon/Open the Historic Gate two months prior, Mike Quackenbush, after competing in an eight-man tag team match, came to the ring following his match to give a monologue, known as a promo, to the live crowd in attendance, only to be interrupted by rival from DGUSA, Yamato, leading to an assault, which saw Quackenbush's ally, Jigsaw, come to his aide, which prompted Gran Akuma, to interfere himself, aiding Yamato; this prompted a tag team match between the two respective allianc ...

Professional Wrestling
Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Professional wrestling as a form of theater evolved out of the widespread practice of match fixing among wrestlers in the early 20th century. Rather than sanction the wrestlers for their deceit as was done with boxers, the public instead came to see professional wrestling as a performance art rather than a sport. Professional wrestlers responded to the public's attitude by dispensing with verisimilitude in favor of entertainment, adding melodrama and outlandish stuntwork to their performances. Although the mock combat they performed ceased to resemble any authentic wrestling form, the wrestlers nevertheless continued to pr ...

He joined the Toryumon Japan roster, and Shin M2K as T2P ended its run, later joining Final M2K. Dragon Gate Doi continued on in Final M2K. At the end of 2004, he abruptly dropped the baseball gimmick and started competing under his real name. In January 2005, Doi turned heel and joined CIMA's new faction Blood Generation. He gained more rank then, and rose to be something of a second-in-command for the stable. He als ...

Congress Theater
The Congress Theater is a historic movie palace in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. Fridstein and Company designed it in 1926 for the movie theater operator Lubliner and Trinz. It features ornate exterior and interior design work in a combination of the Classical Revival and Italian Renaissance styles. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. In its heyday, the Congress Theater could seat over 2,904 moviegoers. The theater block also had 17 retail storefronts with 56 apartments above. More recently, the theater operated as a 3,500-capacity live music venue. For years the building was a common and popular concert venue. In April 2013, the theater was shut down and had its liquor license revoked due to numerous safety code violations. It was a source of controversy due to issues such as liquor violations, a notoriously tough security team, and lax building upkeep. In early 2014, Carranza announced he would sell the theater to developer Micha ...
