Daughters Of Charity Health System
Verity Health System (formerly Daughters of Charity Health System, or DCHS) was a healthcare organization based in Redwood City, California, United States, that operated six hospitals across California with approximately 8,000 associates and physicians. History The Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul founded the Los Angeles Infirmary, later the St. Vincent Medical Center, in 1856. Their hospitals were originally sponsored by the Western Province of the Daughters of Charity and were part of the Daughters of Charity National Health System, now Ascension. In 1995, they withdrew from the national system to merge with Catholic Healthcare West (CHW). In 2002, the hospitals withdrew from CHW to become the regional Daughters of Charity Health System. DeKalb County High School
DeKalb County High School (DCHS) is located in Smithville, Tennessee. It is the only high school in the county and serves grades 9–12 with an enrollment of 814 as of August 10, 2023. The school's mascot is a tiger and the school colors are black and gold. The principal is Grant Curtis and the assistant principals are Thomas Cagle and Jenny Norris. Douglas County High School was the high school serving Douglas County, Nevada from 1915 to the mid-1950s when it became a middle school. In 1988, the building was retired from educational uses. Designed by prolific Nevada architect Frederic Joseph DeLongchamps, it serves today as both the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center and a middle school and is listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places. It was the first high school to open in the Douglas County School District. History Douglas County, Georgia was established in 1870 during the Reconstruction of the South. The first public high school for the county was built in 1880 on the present day site of the National Guard Armory in Douglasville.
