Hyste'riah G
Hyste'riah was a Swedish thrash metal / metallic hardcore band that originated in Landskrona in 1987. Typical for the band's music was staccato-type playing technique, shredding guitar riffs, fast-fingered distorted bass parts and drum play in 6/8 rhythm. The name Hyste'riah was taken from a leftover track title from a previous band and had nothing to do with Def Leppard's album ''Hysteria''. History Hyste'riah was formed by bassplayer J. B. Krown (from D.T.A.L.), drummer T. C. Hagen and guitarist Cliff T (later in Darkane and Terror 2000) at a local music festival in Landskrona. The band soon recorded the four-song cassette ''Attempt the Life'' which sold worldwide. These four songs brought Hyste'riah a lot of attention from underground zines and contact from the label Wild Rags in Montebello, California. Drummer problems resulted that the recording of what became the ''Jeremiad of the Living'' four-song cassette was done as a two-piece act. This did not stop the band fro ...

Landskrona
Landskrona (old da, Landskrone) is a town in Scania, Sweden. Located on the shores of the Öresund, it occupies a natural port, which has lent the town at first military and subsequent commercial significance. Ferries operate from Landskrona to the island of Ven, and for many years there was also a connection to Copenhagen. Landskrona is part of the Øresund region. It is the seat of Landskrona Municipality. Landskrona is also the name of a district in Landskrona Municipality which is slightly smaller than the urban area. History The city of Landskrona is usually claimed to have been founded in 1413 by the King of Denmark, Eric of Pomerania, as a trading city intended to compete with Danish towns under the control of the Hanseatic League. There is however evidence found in the Danish National Archive, which mention the town by the name "Landzcrone" already in 1405. The site occupies one of a few natural harbours in Scania, which at that time was part of Denmark. At the tim ...

Void (band)
Void was an American hardcore punk band formed in Columbia, Maryland, in 1980. The group was a pioneering force in the thriving D.C. Hardcore scene in Washington D.C. during the early 1980s, successfully combining elements of punk with heavy metal in a style that was accepted by the scene's otherwise exclusive community. Void's punk metal fusion sound was marked by guitarist Bubba Dupree's innovative guitar work and the "unhinged" vocals of John Weiffenbach, which resonated in the band's chaotic but popular live performances. Like many of their contemporaries, Void had a short-lived recording career, limited to the split album ''Faith/Void Split'' with the Faith on Dischord Records. However, they have enjoyed an enduring cult following among hardcore aficionados. History Inspired by punk rock bands the Teen Idles and Minor Threat, Void—a name which referred to Black Sabbath's song " Into the Void"—was formed in 1979, and consisted of an interracial lineup unique to the e ...
