The D.I.C.E. Award for Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design is an award presented annually by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences during the D.I.C.E. Awards. This award is "presented to the individual or team whose work represents the highest level of achievement in creating a unified audio experience. The quality of the individual sound effects, voice over, music, technology, and other audio elements will be considered in addition to the overall audio mix of the title". Creative/technical Academy members with expertise as a game designer, producer, audio designer, or musician are qualified to vote for this award. The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) is a non-profit organization of video game industry professionals. It organizes the annual Design Innovate Communicate Entertain summit, better known as D.I.C.E., which includes the presentations of the D.I.C.E. Awards. History AIAS was originally founded in 1992 by Andrew Zucker, a lawyer in the entertainment industry. AIAS co-promoted numerous events with organizations such as the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Directors Guild of America and Women in Film. Their first awards show program, "Cybermania '94", which was hosted by Leslie Nielsen and Jonathan Taylor Thomas, was broadcast on TBS. While a second show was run in 1995, and was the first awards program to be streamed over the Web, it drew far less audiences as the first. ''Road Rash 3D'' is a racing video game developed and published by Electronic Arts exclusively for the PlayStation. Gameplay The game plays similarly to previous games developed in the ''Road Rash'' series, which involves the player racing their motorcycle against other motorcyclists. ''Outlaws'' is a first-person shooter developed and published by LucasArts in April 7, 1997. Set in the Wild West, it follows retired U.S. Marshal James Anderson, who seeks to bring justice to a gang of criminals who killed his wife and kidnapped his daughter. It uses an enhanced version of the Jedi game engine, first seen in '' Star Wars: Dark Forces''.
