Céline Koller
Céline Koller (born 7 February 1996) is a Swiss curler from Adelboden. Career Koller first represented Switzerland on the international stage at the 2015 World Mixed Curling Championship, as lead for Yannick Schwaller. After going 7–1 in the round robin, they lost the quarterfinal game to Rasmus Wranå and Sweden. She returned two years later once again as lead for Schwaller. They were less successful this time, failing to make the playoffs after a 4–3 round robin record. Koller also played in the 2017 Winter Universiade where the Swiss team finished fourth. The 2018–19 season was a breakout year for Koller and her team of skip Elena Stern, fourth Briar Hürlimann and second Lisa Gisler. They played in four Grand Slam of Curling events including winning the 2018 Tour Challenge Tier 2 and the 2018 Women's Masters Basel World Curling Tour event. Frutigen
Frutigen is a municipality in the Bernese Oberland in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It is the capital of the Frutigen-Niedersimmental administrative district. History The area around Frutigen may have been settled since possibly the Bronze Age or Roman times. It is first mentioned in 1234 as ''Frutingen''. 2019 National
The 2019 BOOST National was held from December 10 to 15, at the Conception Bay South Arena in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador. It was the third Grand Slam and second major of the 2019–20 season. In the men's final, Team Brad Jacobs defeated Team Niklas Edin 3–1 to win their second consecutive Grand Slam event. In the women's final, Team Anna Hasselborg also won their second consecutive Grand Slam event, defeating Team Jennifer Jones 7–3. Qualification The top 14 men's and women's teams on the World Curling Tour order of merit standings as of November 5, 2019 qualified for the event. The Grand Slam of Curling may fill one spot in each division as a sponsor's exemption. 2019 Masters (curling)
The 2019 Masters were held from October 22 to 27, at the North Bay Memorial Gardens in North Bay, Ontario. It was the first Grand Slam and first major of the 2019–20 season. In the Men's final, Matt Dunstone beat Brad Gushue 8–5 to win the title. It is Dunstone's first Grand Slam final appearance and victory, having only made it as far as the quarterfinals in all of his previous slams. In the Women's final, Tracy Fleury defeated Sayaka Yoshimura 7–5 to claim the title. It was Fleury's first Grand Slam victory, having finished runner-up at two previous slams. It was also a record set by Yoshimura who is the first women's team from Asia to make a Grand Slam final, excluding defunct events. Tracy Fleury
Tracy Fleury (born June 13, 1986, as Tracy Horgan) is a Canadian curler from Sudbury, Ontario. She joined the Rachel Homan rink as skip for the 2022–23 season. In 2021, she led her team to a silver medal at the 2021 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials. She has competed at the Canadian national championship five times and was the Northern Ontario women's junior champion skip from 2005 to 2007. Fleury represented Northern Ontario at three Canadian Junior Curling Championships during her junior career (2005, 2006 and 2007). She aged out of juniors in 2008 and began skipping her own rink on the Ontario and World Curling Tour's. Throughout her women's career, she has won six Northern Ontario provincial championships (2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2018) and went on to win the Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts in 2012. The Schweizer Cup (French: ''Cup Suisse'') is an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, held in Baden, Switzerland. It is organized by the Swiss Curling Association and is similar to the Canada Cup held in Canada each year. It was established in 2018. Rachel Homan
Rachel Catherine Homan (born April 5, 1989) is a Canadian international curler. Homan is a former Canadian junior champion, a three-time Canadian national champion, and the 2017 world champion, all as a skip. She was also the skip of the Canadian women's curling team at the 2018 Winter Olympics. During her junior career, Homan competed in two Canadian Junior Curling Championships, placing second in 2009 and winning the championship in 2010. She also won a silver medal at the 2010 World Junior Curling Championships. Throughout her women's career, Homan has medalled at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Canadian women's national curling championships, seven times, winning gold three times (2013, 2014, and 2017), silver three times (2019, 2020, and 2021), and bronze once (2015). Silvana Petra Tirinzoni (born 25 June 1979) is a Swiss curler from Zurich. She is currently the reigning women's world champion skip having won the last three championships, in 2019, 2021 and . Tirinzoni also represented Switzerland at the 2022 Winter Olympics and 2018 Winter Olympics, after winning the 2017 Swiss Olympic Curling Trials. Career In 1997, Tirinzoni was the Swiss alternate for Bianca Röthlisberger at the World Junior Curling Championships. The team finished seventh. Eve Muirhead
Eve Muirhead (born 22 April 1990) is a Scottish former curler from Perth and the skip of the British Olympic Curling team. Muirhead and the GB team became Olympic champions at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, having previously won the bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. As skip of the Scotland team, Muirhead won the 2011 European Championships in Moscow, the 2013 World Championships in Riga, the 2017 European Championships in St. Gallen and the 2021 European Championships in Lillehammer. 2019 WCT Uiseong International Curling Cup
The 2019 WCT Uiseong International Curling Cup was held from September 29 to October 3 in Uiseong-eup, Uiseong County, South Korea. The total purse for the event was ₩ 55,000,000 on both the men's and women's sides. The event had a mix of teams from Canada, Italy, Norway, Russia, Switzerland, United States, and the host South Korea. In the Men's event, Canada's Mike McEwen won their first event of the season by defeating Olympic gold medalist John Shuster from the United States 7–4 in the final.
