Schweizer Cup (curling)
The Schweizer Cup (French: ''Cup Suisse'') is an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, held in Baden, Switzerland. It is organized by the Swiss Curling Association and is similar to the Canada Cup held in Canada each year. It was established in 2018. It was a World Curling Tour event in 2018 and 2019, but was dropped in 2020. Baden, Switzerland
Baden (German for "baths"), sometimes unofficially, to distinguish it from other Badens, called Baden bei Zürich ("Baden near Zürich") or Baden im Aargau ("Baden in the Aargau"), is a town and a municipality in Switzerland. It is the main town or seat of the district of Baden in the canton of Aargau. Located northwest of Zürich in the Limmat Valley (german: Limmattal) mainly on the western side of the river Limmat, its mineral hot springs have been famed since at least the Roman era. Valentin Tanner
Valentin Igor Fédéric Tanner (born 2 October 1992) is a Swiss curler. He currently plays lead for the Peter de Cruz team from Geneva. Career Tanner is the long-time lead for de Cruz. The team played in two World Junior Curling Championships, winning gold at the 2010 World Junior Curling Championships (defeating Scotland's Ally Fraser in the final) and a silver at the 2011 World Junior Curling Championships (losing to Sweden's Oskar Eriksson in the final). 2011 was the final year of junior eligibility for de Cruz. Even though Tanner could have played another two years of juniors, he stuck with de Cruz to play in men's events. Céline Koller
Céline Koller (born 7 February 1996) is a Swiss curler from Adelboden. Career Koller first represented Switzerland on the international stage at the 2015 World Mixed Curling Championship, as lead for Yannick Schwaller. After going 7–1 in the round robin, they lost the quarterfinal game to Rasmus Wranå and Sweden. She returned two years later once again as lead for Schwaller. They were less successful this time, failing to make the playoffs after a 4–3 round robin record. Koller also played in the 2017 Winter Universiade where the Swiss team finished fourth. The 2018–19 season was a breakout year for Koller and her team of skip Elena Stern, fourth Briar Hürlimann and second Lisa Gisler. They played in four Grand Slam of Curling events including winning the 2018 Tour Challenge Tier 2 and the 2018 Women's Masters Basel World Curling Tour event. Lisa Gisler
Lisa Gisler (born 15 March 1994) is a Swiss curler from Olten. Career Gisler first represented Switzerland on the international stage at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics where her team of Michael Brunner, Elena Stern and Romano Meier won the gold medal. In 2014, Gisler was a young ambassador for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. Her job was to promote the Youth Olympics in Switzerland and get the Swiss athletes to interact with other athletes from different countries and participate in activities and workshops. Gisler represented Switzerland in two World Junior Curling Championships: and . In 2013, her team failed to make the playoffs after going 3–6 in the round robin. In 2015, she skipped the team to a bronze medal after defeating Isabella Wranå 7–6 in the bronze medal game.
