X-Faktor (series 1)
The show's inaugural Hungarian season ended on 19 December 2010. Csaba Vastag was announced as the winner. It was broadcast on the commercial RTL Klub television station. Auditions The auditions started in the summer of 2010, with more than 5,000 candidates for the first series in Hungary. Bootcamp The Bootcamp was in the Thalia Theatre where 150 singers competed. In the first round the contestants sang a song of their choice. The judges immediately told the contestants if they were safe or not. In the second round only 50 contestants competed and they chose a song for themselves from a list. After this, based on the judges decision 24 contestants went to the third round called "Judge's houses". Judge's houses At this stage of the competition each judge mentored six acts. ''X-Faktor'' is the Hungarian version of ''The X Factor'', a show originating from the United Kingdom. It is a television music talent show contested by aspiring pop singers drawn from public auditions. The show premiered in 2010 and it continues its success nowadays in the eleventh series. The original judging panel consisted of Feró Nagy, Miklós Malek, Ildikó Keresztes and Péter Geszti. Róbert Szikora, Gabi Tóth, and Róbert Alföldi joined the judging panel in the Fourth series replacing Nagy, Malek and Ildikó Keresztes, who left the show after the Third series, due to career commitments. Tamás Vastag (born 28 June 1991, Veszprém) is a Hungarian Music Awards-winning Hungarian singer and actor. He is most well known for coming 5th on the first season of the Hungarian version of X-Factor. Personal life and career Tamás Vastag was born on 28 June 1991 in the town of Veszprém, near Lake Balaton, the son of Sándor Vastag, a university professor, and Márta, a teacher. His two brothers are Balázs and fellow X-Faktor contestant and winner Csaba Vastag. On 22 June 2016, he had a son, Sándor Samu Vastag. Career In 2010, he and his brother Csaba participated in the first season of the Hungarian counterpart of X-Faktor. Tamás came 5th, while his brother Csaba won the contest.
