Cosmic Girls
WJSN (; ), also known as Cosmic Girls, is a South Korean girl group formed by Starship Entertainment. The group debuted on February 25, 2016, with the extended play '' Would You Like?'' and with twelve members: Seola, Xuanyi, Bona, Exy, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Meiqi, Yeoreum and Dayoung. In July 2016, WJSN added a thirteenth member, Yeonjung, to the group. History 2015–2016: Formation and debut On December 4, 2015, Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment launched a 12-member girl group called WJSN, where the Korean and Chinese members were divided into different subunits. Meng Meiqi
Meng Meiqi (born October 15, 1998), is a Chinese singer and actress currently active in China since 2018, signed under Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment. She is a member of South Korean-Chinese girl group WJSN. After finishing first in the Chinese edition of the survival show ''Produce 101'', she became a member of the Chinese girl group Rocket Girls 101. Early life Meng was born on October 15, 1998, in Luoyang, Henan, China. Meng studied in Luoyang Foreign Language School's Junior High department. She subsequently went to South Korea to become a trainee when she was 15 years old. Would You Like?
''Would You Like?'' is the debut extended play by South Korean girl group WJSN. The album was released digitally and physically on February 25, 2016 by Starship Entertainment and distributed by LOEN Entertainment. The album contains six tracks including the lead single, "MoMoMo" and second single "Catch Me", which was composed by Kim Eana and is a blend of several different genres. The mini-album was a commercial success peaking at number 7 on the Gaon Album Chart. It has sold over 12,701 physical copies as of May 2016. Only 12 out of the 13 members were included in this album as Yoo Yeon-jung had yet to join the group. She joined the group in July 2016. ''The Secret'' is the second extended play by South Korean-Chinese girl group WJSN. It marked their first album as a thirteen-member group since the addition of Yoo Yeon-jung in July 2016. It was released on August 17, 2016 by Starship Entertainment and distributed by LOEN Entertainment. To promote the EP, the group appeared on several South Korean music programs, including ''Music Bank'' and '' Inkigayo''. ''M Countdown'' () is a South Korean music program broadcast by Mnet. The show features appearances by popular music artists who also perform live on stage. It is broadcast from CJ E&M Center Studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. Broadcast ''M Countdown'' airs live on domestic television at 6PM KST every Thursday.
