Connor Marc Colquhoun
Connor Marc Colquhoun (born 26 July 1996), known online as CDawgVA, is a Welsh YouTuber and voice actor based in Tokyo. He is affiliated with the Kadokawa-backed agency GeeXPlus. Career Colquhoun created his YouTube channel CDawgVA in February 2014. Colquhoun started voice acting in parallel to his YouTube career, doing mainly amateur work with a few paying gigs. When Colquhoun lived in London, he worked professionally doing corporate narrations and commercials. In November 2019, Colquhoun moved to Tokyo to begin working as an influencer for the Kadokawa-backed agency GeeXPlus. The effort was to help promote/introduce anime and Japanese culture to the rest of the world through his content. SMASH! (convention)
SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show (typically abbreviated to SMASH!) is an annual Japanese pop culture convention held during July/August at the International Convention Centre Sydney in Sydney, New South Wales, and is the largest anime convention in Australia. Programming The convention typically offers an artist circle, art competitions, community groups, cosplay competition and games, karaoke competition, maid cafe, merchandise vendors, panels, stage events, video game tournaments, and workshops. The Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan (FCCJ) was started in 1945 to provide infrastructure for foreign journalists working in Post-World War II Japan. ''Trash Taste'' ( ja, トラッシュ・テイスト) is a weekly audio and video podcast hosted by Joey Bizinger, Garnt Maneetapho, and Connor Colquhoun – three Tokyo-based content creators primarily focusing on anime and Japanese pop culture. The podcast generally discusses Japanese culture and life in Japan. History The podcast was started in February 2020 by GeeXPlus, a subsidiary of BookWalker, who helped the three hosts to relocate to Japan to help them have more access to Japanese culture and to promote their products on their channel. Since the three were brought over in Japan, they decided to start a podcast that was already planned on the back of their minds for some time.
