Comic Sans (film)
''Comic Sans'' is a 2018 Croatian comedy-drama film directed by Nevio Marasović. The film premiered at the 46th FEST International Film Festival in Belgrade. ''Comic Sans'' is the fourth film project by Nevio Marasović shot on Vis and the first Croatian feature to be shot on the remote Croatian island of Jabuka. Plot A successful graphic designer Alan Despot (Janko Popović Volarić), after trying in vain to renew a broken relationship with his girlfriend (Nataša Janjić) experiences an emotional breakdown. Persuaded by his concerned mother (Alma Prica) he goes to the island of Vis with his estranged and eccentric father ( Zlatko Burić) to arrange a funeral for their deceased aunt. There he meets another ex-girlfriend ( Inti Šraj) and her fiancé ( Miha Rodman). New situations and circumstances help Alan to view his own life from a new perspective. Nevio Marasović
Nevio Marasović (born 7 July 1983) is a Croatian film director and screenwriter, and also a commercial director. Biography He made his first feature film called ''The Computer Repairment'' at the age of sixteen. He graduated film directing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. In 2005 he made a ghost commercial “Durex Lunch” which won numerous awards at different advertising festivals. “Lunch” also became an Internet meme in the following years. In 2010 Marasović wrote and directed his feature film ''The Show Must Go On'', set in near-future Zagreb, seven years after the accession of Croatia to the EU, in which there are two depictions - one of the outside world, i.e. the third world war between the EU and unnamed countries, and the other of housemates in a Big Brother-like TV reality show, who are unaware that during their stay in the house a world war has started and who the main character, the producer of the show, decides not to inform, in order to gi ... Gottlob, Timiș
Gottlob (german: Gottlob; hu, Kisősz) is a commune in Timiș County, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Gottlob and Vizejdia (german: Wiseschdia; hu, Vizesd). These were part of the commune of Lovrin until 2004, when they were split off. Etymology The commune's name is of German origin, with the meaning of "Praise to the Lord". History Today's Gottlob was founded in 1773, at the same time as the neighboring village of Tomnatic, on a territory that was inhabited in the more distant past. Between 1770 and 1773, the administration, under the guidance of Chamber Councilor Hildebrand (according to other sources, Captain Tribaustter), would build 203 houses in Gottlob for German ( Swabian) settlers. Pula Film Festival ( hr, Pulski filmski festival) is an annual Croatian film festival, established in 1954. It is held in a Roman amphitheater known as the Pula Arena. Pula Film Festival is the oldest Croatian film festival and is usually held in the summer, in July or August. Apart from film screenings open to the public, the annual Croatian film industry awards are also traditionally presented at the festival. The awards presented at the festival (called Golden Arenas) are the main national film awards in the country, and they serve as the Croatian equivalent of the American Academy Awards. The festival was originally started in 1954 and within a few years it became the centerpiece event of the Yugoslav film industry, with the first national awards being presented in 1957.
