''Come Home with Me'' is the third studio album by Harlem rapper Cam'ron and it is also his debut under Roc-A-Fella Records. The album was released on May 14, 2002, by Roc-A-Fella Records, Diplomat Records and Def Jam Recordings. It served as an introduction of the Cam'ron-fronted rap collective, the Diplomats, to the general public. There are featured guest appearances from the Diplomats, DJ Kay Slay, Daz Dillinger, Tiffany, Jay-Z, McGruff, Memphis Bleek, and Beanie Sigel. To date, it is his most commercially successful album, it peaked at number 2 on the ''Billboard'' 200 with first-week sales of 226,000 copies and eventually sold One million copies in the United States, being certified Platinum by the RIAA. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is a trade organization that represents the music recording industry in the United States. Malik Deshawn Cox (born June 23, 1978), known by his stage name Memphis Bleek, is an American rapper who was a protégé of fellow New York rapper Jay-Z. Delmar Drew Arnaud (born May 25, 1973), known professionally as Daz Dillinger (formerly Dat Nigga Daz and commonly Daz), is an American rapper and record producer. Keith Grayson (August 14, 1966 – April 17, 2022), professionally known as DJ Kay Slay, was an American disc jockey (DJ) from New York City. The Diplomats
The Diplomats (also known as Dipset) is an American hip hop collective formed in 1997 by childhood friends Cam'ron and Jim Jones in Harlem, New York. The group was originally composed of Cam'ron, Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey, all of whom grew up together in Harlem. In 1999, fellow Harlem-based rapper Juelz Santana joined the group. In 2001, following Cam'ron's signing, the group secured a recording contract with Roc-A-Fella Records. It subsequently began recording its debut album, ''Diplomatic Immunity'', and released it on the aforementioned labels in March 2003. "Hey Ma" is the second single released from American rapper Cam'ron's third album ''Come Home with Me''. The song featured Juelz Santana, Freekey Zekey and Toya, and was produced by DR Period and Mafia Boy, who used a sample of The Commodores' 1977 hit, " Easy." Released as the follow-up to Cam'ron's successful single " Oh Boy," "Hey Ma" followed that song's success, peaking at No. 3 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, his highest peak on that chart, while also reaching the top 10 on several other ''Billboard'' charts.
