Com.x is a British comic publishing company. History 2000–2002 Com.x was founded in 2000 by Eddie Deighton, Russell Uttley and Neil Googe. ''Cla$$war'' is a six-issue comic book limited series published by Com.x between 2002 and 2004. It was written by Rob Williams with art by Trevor Hairsine and Travel Foreman. Neil Googe is a British comics artist. Biography Googe's early comics work include a ''Shotgun Mary'' mini-series and work on '' 2000 AD'', including a number of ''Judge Dredd'' stories. In 1999, Googe was hired as the artist for a graphic novel adaptation of Konami's Silent Hill, which had been released in early 1999. The novel was scheduled for release in November 1999. Despite being completed, advertised, and even receiving an ISBN code, the novel never got published due to disputes with Konami and it's European branch, with only four screenshots of the novel remaining. Googe is said to have had a CD with the full, completed novel on it, but has since lost said CD. He was one of the co-founders of the British independent comic publisher Com.x in 2000, where he wrote and drew '' Bazooka Jules'' and although only three issues were published Googe says he still has ideas for many more. Joshua Middleton
Joshua Middleton (sometimes credited as Josh Middleton) is an artist and designer working in the animation, film, comics, and book industries. In 2004 he was nominated for an Eisner Award as "Best Cover Artist" for his work on Marvel's '' NYX'', ''X-Men Unlimited'', and ''New Mutants''. Career Middleton started his career as a comic book artist in 2000 as penciler for CrossGen's ''Meridian'', written by Barbara Kesel. After that, he joined a small independent British publisher, Com.x, planning to release there his creator-owned series ''Sky Between Branches'', but only did a preview issue in early 2002, along with some other work for the publisher. Ben Oliver is a British comics artist who has worked for '' 2000 AD'' on ''Judge Dredd'' as well as providing art for '' The Authority'', '' The Losers'', and ''Ultimate X-Men'' Biography Ben Oliver lives in Bristol, his first professional work in England came out in 2000. John Higgins (comics)
John Higgins (born 1949) is an English comic book artist and writer. He did significant work for '' 2000 AD'', and he has frequently worked with writer Alan Moore, most notably as colourist for ''Watchmen''. Biography John Higgins was born in Walton, Liverpool. After leaving school when he was 15, he joined the army and, on leaving, spent some time in a commune in Wiltshire. He returned to Liverpool and, in 1971, resumed his studies at Wallasey College of Art. There, in 1974 he qualified in technical illustration, which allowed him to get a job as a medical illustrator at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. After getting his first comic book art published in ''Brainstorm'' in 1975, he drew the cover for '' 2000 AD'' No. 43 in 1977 and decided to go freelance in 1978, with an eye on becoming a comic artist. ''Cannon Busters'' is an American fantasy comic book series by LeSean Thomas, launched in March 2005. An original net animation anime series by Satelight and Yumeta Company was released on Netflix on August 15, 2019. Publication history The first issue of the series was due to be published by Com.x in 2003, but moved to Devil's Due in 2004 and was published in 2005. It was well received by critics and fans, but due to a very busy schedule, Thomas had decided to reprint and continue the series as an original graphic novel. The graphic novel was due to come out in 2009 and it was speculated that it would have feature a number of guest artists. Trevor Hairsine
Trevor Hairsine is a British comics artist, whose detailed style has been compared to that of Bryan Hitch. In August 2005 Marvel Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada named him as one of Marvel Comics's "Young Guns", a group of artists who have the qualities that make "a future superstar penciller". Career Hairsine began his professional career working for the ''Judge Dredd Megazine'', where he co-created the character of Harmony Krieg, and at '' 2000 AD'', as one of the artists of the anthology's flagship series ''Judge Dredd''. ''The Last American'' is a four-issue comic book mini-series published by Marvel's Epic imprint in 1990. It was written by John Wagner and Alan Grant with art by Mike McMahon.
