Colours (Blue Album)
''Colours'' is the fifth studio album by English boy band Blue. It was released on 6 March 2015 and marked the band's first release with Sony Music. The album features six original songs and four cover songs. The album's lead single "King of the World" premiered on 20 January 2015. ''Colours'' debuted at number 13 on the UK Albums Chart. Background and production Band member Lee Ryan stated that the album was initially set to be a concept album, consisting entirely of covers of songs by artistes who inspired the band during their childhoods and early years in the music industry, including the likes of Marvin Gaye. The idea for the album came about during a flight home from the European leg of their ''Roulette'' tour. The band were then contacted by producer Brian Rawling who invited them to his private studio in Surrey to record with him. Blue (English Band)
Blue are an English boy band consisting of members Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Antony Costa and Lee Ryan. The group formed in 2000 and released three studio albums before announcing a hiatus In late 2004. In January 2011 the group reformed and United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest, represented the United Kingdom at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf with the song "I Can (Blue song), I Can", coming in 11th place with 100 points. In 2013 it was confirmed that the group would be joining ''The Big Reunion'', in which six groups from the past (including Liberty X, Atomic Kitten and five (group), 5ive) reform for a one-off gig. On 27 March 2013, the group announced they would embark on their first headlining tour later on in the year, their first tour in nearly ten years. ''Love & Life'' is the fourth studio album by American R&B singer Eric Benét. It was released on September 9, 2008 on Friday and Reprise Records. Eugene Record
Eugene Booker Record (December 23, 1940 – July 22, 2005) was an American singer, songwriter, arranger and record producer. He was best known as the lead vocalist of the Chicago-based vocal group The Chi-Lites from their formation in 1959 until 1973 and again from 1980 to 1988. Record wrote and produced many of the group's hits in the 1970s on Brunswick Records, as well as writing and producing for other acts. He had international hits with: "Oh Girl," "Have You Seen Her," " Soulful Strut," and "(For God's Sake) Give More Power to the People". "Oh Girl" is a song written by Eugene Record and recorded by American soul vocal group the Chi-Lites, with Record on vocals and also producing. It was released as a single on Brunswick Records in 1972. Included on the group's 1972 album '' A Lonely Man'', "Oh Girl" centers on a relationship on the verge of break-up. "Oh Girl" was the Chi-Lites' first and only No. 1 single on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, peaking at that position in May 1972 for one week. Johnny Bristol
John William Bristol (February 3, 1939 – March 21, 2004) was an American musician, most famous as a songwriter and record producer for the Motown label in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was a native of Morganton, North Carolina, about which he wrote an eponymous song. His composition " Love Me for a Reason" saw global success when covered by The Osmonds including a number 1 in the UK charts in 1974. Danny Ray Whitten (May 8, 1943 – November 18, 1972) was an American guitarist and songwriter, best known for his work with Neil Young's backing band Crazy Horse, and for the song "I Don't Want to Talk About It", a hit for Rod Stewart and Everything but the Girl. Antony Daniel Costa (born 23 June 1981) is an English singer and songwriter. He is best known as a member of the boy band Blue. Early life Costa was born in Edgware, North London, Costa attended Hendon School in nearby Barnet. He is half-Greek, half-Jewish.
