Antony Costa
Antony Daniel Costa (born 23 June 1981) is an English singer and songwriter. He is best known as a member of the boy band Blue. Early life Costa was born in Edgware, North London, Costa attended Hendon School in nearby Barnet. He is half-Greek, half-Jewish. He attended the American Academy school in Larnaca before moving back to England. He has a sister Natalie and a brother Louis who appeared on The X Factor on 3 September 2011 and who was also in a group called The Chase with former S Club 8 member Jay Asforis. Career One of Costa's earliest television roles was as a pupil in Steven Moffat's sitcom ''Chalk''. Burnt Oak
Burnt Oak is a suburb of London, England, located northwest of Charing Cross. It lies to the west of the M1 motorway between Edgware and Colindale, located predominantly in the London Borough of Barnet, with parts comprising the London Boroughs of Brent and Harrow. ''Chalk'' is a British television British sitcom, sitcom set in a comprehensive school named Galfast High. Two series, both written by Steven Moffat, were broadcast on BBC One, BBC1 in 1997. Like Moffat's earlier sitcom ''Joking Apart'', ''Chalk'' was produced by Andre Ptaszynski for Pola Jones. The series focuses upon deputy headteacher Eric Slatt (David Bamber), permanently stressed over the chaos he creates both by himself and some of his eccentric staff. The Official Albums Chart is a list of albums ranked by physical and digital sales and (from March 2015) audio streaming in the United Kingdom. It was published for the first time on 22 July 1956 and is compiled every week by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on Fridays (previously Sundays). It is broadcast on BBC Radio 1 (top 5) and found on the OCC website as a Top 100 or on UKChartsPlus as a Top 200, with positions continuing until all sales have been tracked in data only available to industry insiders. However, even though number 100 was classed as a hit album (as in the case of The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums) in the 1980s until January 1989, since the compilations were removed this definition was changed to Top 75 with follow-up books such as The Virgin Book of British Hit Albums book only including this data. "Fly By II" is a song by English boy band Blue. It was released on 18 March 2002 as the fourth single from their debut studio album, '' All Rise'' (2001). The release includes the band's first non-album exclusive, "Love R.I.P". "Fly By II" is a remixed version of the ''All Rise'' album track "Fly By", which samples the song "Rise" by Herb Alpert, while the remix samples from the Notorious B.I.G.'s " Hypnotize". The remix reached number six on the UK Singles Chart. Music video The video for "Fly by II" features Blue in a 2001 BMW X5 (E53) 4.4i, driving to an underground hangout, where the patrons partake in breakdancing, dominoes and rap battling. ''All Rise'' is the debut studio album by English boy band Blue, released on 26 November 2001 in the United Kingdom and on 27 April 2004 in the United States. It peaked at number one on the UK Albums Chart and was certified 4× Platinum in the UK. The album spent 63 weeks on the UK top 75 Albums chart. Background and release In May 1999, Lee Ryan and Antony Costa met at the ages of 15 and 17, respectively, when auditioning for a boy band on ITV's '' This Morning'', with Simon Cowell putting the group together. Ryan made it into the band, as did 21-year-old Will Young (who would go on to win the first series of ''Pop Idol'' in 2002), although Costa was not chosen. The boy band never took off, but Ryan and Costa remained friends following their meeting. "All Rise" is a song by British boy band Blue. It was released in 21 May 2001 as the lead single from their debut album of the same name. "All Rise" was co-written and produced by Norwegian production team StarGate, who went on to produce several of Blue's biggest hits from 2001 to 2003. The song contains elements from the theme from ''The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix'' (1975), composed by Bent Fabricius-Bjerre. He is best known as a member of the boy band Blue, forming in 2000 before splitting in 2005 and reforming in 2009, selling over 15 million records.
