Club Universitario De Deportes–Sporting Cristal Rivalry
The Universitario–Sporting Cristal rivalry is a major rivalry in Peruvian football. Both clubs have been very successful in the Peruvian Primera División, Torneo Decentralizado, with a combined total of 44 league titles since the expansion of the competition in 1966. Clashes between the two teams tend to generate large amounts of excitement, due to the stature of both clubs and the high quality of football on display. Percy Rojas Montero (born September 16, 1949) is a retired football midfielder from Peru. He played on Selección de fútbol de Perú at two FIFA World Cups ( 1978 and 1982). He played in the 1975 Copa América Finals with the Peru national team. Professional career At the professional level he played for Universitario de Deportes, Independiente (Argentina), Sporting Cristal and Sérésien (Belgium). When he was with Indepndentiente they won the 1975 Copa Libertadores Cup, the Primera División del Perú with Universitario (1967, 1969, 1971, 1974 and 1982) and two more with Sporting Cristal (1979, 1980). Club Sporting Cristal
Club Sporting Cristal S.A. is a Peruvian sports club located in the city of Lima, best known for its football team. It was founded on 13 December 1955 in the Rímac district by engineer Richard Bentín Mujica and his wife Esther Grande de Bentín, stockholders of the Peruvian brewery Backus and Johnston. The club and the brewery have been closely linked since its inception, and it is for this reason that it is popularly known as ''los Cerveceros'' ("the brewers"). Oswaldo Felipe Ramírez Salcedo (born March 28, 1947, in Lima, Callao) is a retired Peruvian football striker. He is one of the highest scoring players in the history of the Copa Libertadores and on the Peru national football team, which won the 1975 Copa América. Juan Carlos Oblitas Saba (16 February 1951 in Mollendo, Arequipa) is a retired Peruvian footballer, who is a football manager, who is nicknamed ''El Ciego'' ("The Blind One"). Héctor Bailetti
Héctor Alberto Bailetti Córdova (born 27 November 1947) is a former Peruvian football striker. Career Born in Chincha Alta, Bailetti began playing football with Porvenir Miraflores. He joined Club Universitario de Deportes in 1968, and helped the club to two Peruvian league titles and a runners-up finish in the 1972 Copa Libertadores. Eleazar Soria Ibarra (11 January 1948 – 24 June 2021) was a Peruvian professional footballer who played as a right-back. He won the 1975 Copa America with the Peru national team. Club career Eleazar Soria was born in Lima. At club level he played for Universitario de Deportes, Independiente (Argentina) and Sporting Cristal.
