Fútbol Club Luis Cruz MartÃnez, is a Chilean football club based in the city of Curicó, Maule Region, which honors Luis Cruz MartÃnez, the local hero of the War of the Pacific, who died into battle. They currently play in the Curicó Amateur Association. Between 1962 and 1966, a period of 5 years, they were continuously members of Chile's second high professional level although they never won promotion to the top level, the ''Primera Division''. Curicó (), meaning "Black Waters" in Mapudungun (originally meaning "Land of Black Water"), is the capital city of the Curicó Province, part of the Maule Region in Chile's central valley. The province lies between the provinces of Colchagua and Talca and extends from the Pacific to the Argentine frontier. Curicó Unido is a football club based in Curicó, Maule Region, Chile. They currently play in the Primera División, the first level of the Chilean football system. They are currently managed by Damián Muñoz. History Curicó Unido was founded on 26 February 1973, with ''Edmundo Rojas'' as the first President of the club. They became the fourth football team from the Curicó city to play at the professional level, after Alianza de Curicó, Luis Cruz MartÃnez and Bádminton de Curicó. The Copa Chile (''Chile Cup'') is an annual cup competition for Chilean football teams. Due to time constraints and club pressure, the trophy was cancelled in 2000, but returned in 2008. Its precursor was the Campeonato de Apertura (''Opening Championship''), played from 1933 to 1950. The cup is now open to every member club of the Chilean football league system, from professional teams; ( Primera División, Primera B & Segunda División), down to teams from the ANFA: Tercera División. Santiago Wanderers
Club de Deportes Santiago Wanderers is a football club based in ValparaÃso, a founding member of the Chilean Football Federation. Their home ground, Estadio ElÃas Figueroa Brander, is in the north-west of the city. Wanderers have played their games there since 1931 after moving from Barrio Puerto. Club Deportivo Ñublense () is a professional football team based in Chillán, Ñuble Region, Chile. The club was formed in 1916 under the name of Liceo Fútbol Club. They compete in Chile's Primera División league.
