Club Asylum
Club Asylum is the name of UK garage musician Jeremy Sylvester. They were originally a duo which consisted of Sylvester and Paul Emanuel. After the duo decided to go their separate ways, Sylvester continued to produce and remix under the Club Asylum moniker as a solo artist, and is still active to the present day. Biography Sylvester and Emanuel first met during the early days of the UK garage scene at the London-based house and garage label Nice 'N' Ripe. The duo scored their first chart entry in 1998 with "Freek Me Up", a bootleg vinyl release of the Jodeci song "Freek'n You", which reached No. 92 on the UK Singles Chart. This sparked interest from major labels such as Universal/EMI, Virgin, PolyGram and Strictly Rhythm. "Love Shy" is a song by the Danish singer Kristine Blond, released as a single in 1998. It peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart. Two years later, it reached the top forty in the UK again, landing at number 28 in November 2000, due to the Club Asylum remix of the track becoming a UK garage club hit. The theme of the song discussed incelibacy and overcoming it. It was the first of two hit singles for Kristine Blond. Everybody Dance (The Horn Song)
"Everybody Dance" ("Everybody Dance (The Horn Song)" in international releases) is a 1998 house song recorded by American singer Barbara Tucker, who co-wrote the track with LaVette Gordon, and produced by DJ Pierre, which was based on an instrumental he recorded under the alias "The Don" as "The Horn Song." The horn solo on the single was performed by Darrell Dixon. After its release, the label rerecorded the single with Tucker adding lyrics and vocals to the song. This was Tucker's fourth of seven number-one singles she placed on the ''Billboard'' Dance Club Songs, reaching the top spot on September 12, 1998. Barbara Tucker (born March 19, 1967), is an American house and soul singer, songwriter and choreographer born in Brooklyn, New York, US. Lutricia McNeal (born November 27, 1973) is an American soul and pop singer. All Saints (group)
All Saints are an English girl group formed in London in 1993. They were founded as All Saints 1.9.7.5 by music manager Ron Tom, who later also founded Sugababes, with members Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, and Simone Rainford. The group struggled to find commercial success upon being signed to ZTT Records and were dropped by the label shortly after Rainford left the group. Another Level (group)
Another Level were a British soul and R&B-influenced boy band that formed in 1997 and broke up in 2000, consisting of Mark Baron, Dane Bowers, Bobak Kianoush and Wayne Williams. They achieved seven top ten singles, including the 1998 number-one "Freak Me". In 2013, the band were about to reunite for the ITV2 documentary, ''The Big Reunion'' however, Williams and Baron chose not to take part in the show.
