Cloudscape Photography
Cloudscape photography is photography of clouds or sky. An early cloudscape photographer, Belgian photographer Léonard Misonne (1870–1943), was noted for his black and white photographs of heavy skies and dark clouds. In the early to middle 20th century, American photographer Alfred Stieglitz (1864–1946) created a series of photographs of clouds, called "equivalents" (1925–1931). Chandigarh () is a planned city in India. Chandigarh is bordered by the state of Punjab to the west and the south, and by the state of Haryana to the east. It constitutes the bulk of the Chandigarh Capital Region or Greater Chandigarh, which also includes the adjacent Satellite city, satellite cities of Panchkula and Mohali. Cloudscape (art)
In art, a cloudscape is the depiction of a view of clouds or the sky. Usually, as in the examples seen here, the clouds are depicted as viewed from the earth, often including just enough of a landscape to suggest scale, orientation, weather conditions, and distance (through the application of the technique of aerial perspective). The terms ''cloudscape'' and '' skyscape'' are sometimes used interchangeably, although a skyscape does not necessarily require a view of clouds. A highly complex cloudscape—as in some works of J. M. W. Turner, for example—within an otherwise conventional landscape painting, can sometimes seem like an abstract painting-within-a-painting, nearly obliterating the realistic setting with a grand display of gestural force. Cloud Appreciation Society
The Cloud Appreciation Society is a society founded by Gavin Pretor-Pinney from the United Kingdom in January 2005. The society aims to foster understanding and appreciation of clouds, and has over 50,000 members from 120 countries, as of March 2020. Yahoo! named the society's website as "the most weird and wonderful find on the internet for 2005". The group and its founder were the focus of a BBC documentary ''Cloudspotting'', based on Pretor-Pinney's book ''The Cloudspotter's Guide''. During an episode of ''Taskmaster'', comedian Hugh Dennis revealed he is a member of the society. In 2017, the Cloud Appreciation Society was credited with adding the Asperitas classification of cloud to the World Meteorological Organization's International Cloud Atlas. Tzeli Hadjidimitriou (sometimes spelled ''Jelly Hadjidimitriou'', el, Τζέλη Χατζηδημητρίου) Greek is a fine art photographer, cinematographer, travel writer from Lesbos, Greece. She is the author of six photography books, with work shown in galleries in Greece and abroad. She is also the author of guidebooks to the Greek islands of Kythira and Lesbos and has published articles about her global travels to South Korea, India, Jordan and other destinations in the Greek Press. Photography is the art, application, and practice of creating durable images by recording light, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.
