Clifford W. Robinson
Clifford William Robinson (September 1, 1866 – July 27, 1944) was a New Brunswick lawyer, businessman and politician, the 12th premier of New Brunswick. He was born in Moncton, New Brunswick and was educated in Point de Bute, Saint John and Moncton before attending Mount Allison University. Robinson worked as a bookkeeper from 1886 to 1889 before studying law. He was called to the bar in 1892 and set up practice in Moncton. In 1897 he became both mayor of Moncton and a member of the provincial House of Assembly as a Liberal. He served as Speaker and Provincial Secretary before becoming Premier in 1907. The Liberals had been in power since 1883, however, and voters opted for a change in the 1908 election which brought the Conservatives to power. Otto Baird Price
Otto Baird Price (September 16, 1877 – January 18, 1947) was a dentist and political figure in New Brunswick, Canada. He represented the City of Moncton in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1912 to 1920 and Westmorland in the House of Commons of Canada from 1925 to 1935 as a Unionist and Conservative member. He was born in Petitcodiac, New Brunswick, the son of Warren W. Price and Helena Crandall. In 1904, he married Clare B. Sibler. Price ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the House of Commons in 1917 and 1921. He was defeated in a bid for reelection in 1935. The New Brunswick Liberal Association (french: Association libérale du Nouveau-Brunswick), more popularly known as the New Brunswick Liberal ''Party'' or Liberal Party of New Brunswick, is one of the two major provincial political parties in New Brunswick, Canada. The party descended from both the Confederation Party and the Anti-Confederation Party whose members split into left-wing and right-wing groups following the creation of Canada as a nation in 1867. Point De Bute, New Brunswick
Point de Bute is an unincorporated community in Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada. The local service district of Pointe de Bute takes its name from the community but uses a different spelling. History The Acadian Pierre Buhot settled here in the late 1600s, and the original name was Pont à Buhot which evolved, via Pont à Buot to the current name. Opposite his house was a bridge over the Missaguash River, leading to the Tantramar Marsh.
