Clark International Speedway
Clark International Speedway, abbreviated as CIS, is a motorsport venue at the Clark Freeport Zone in Mabalacat, Pampanga, Philippines. History It was built on November 15, 2008 and has a Grade 4 accreditation level from the FIA. The circuit features 18 turns and runs in a counter-clockwise direction. Clark International Speedway hosts both 2- and 4-wheeled events. This includes the Philippine Superbike Championship, Toyota Vios Cup, Philippine GT Championship, Philippine Touring Car Championship, and FlatOut Race Series. The layout also has a drag strip that hosts the National Drag Racing Championship. The Philippine Sports Commission and V8 Supercars CEO Martin Whitaker announced that the circuit would hold a round of V8 Supercars on 10–11 November 2012, but series management never officially ratified the event and it did not appear on the calendar. Clark Freeport Zone
The Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone (CFEZ), often shortened to Clark, refers to an area in Central Luzon, Philippines. The CFEZ in Pampanga covers portions of the cities of Angeles and Mabalacat and portions of the town of Porac while parts of the area in Tarlac include portions of the towns of Capas and Bamban, Tarlac. The CFEZ divided into two areas, the Clark Freeport Zone (CFZ) and the Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ). The New Clark City is part of the Clark Special Economic Zone. The CFZ covers the area of the former United States Air Force facility, Clark Air Base. Mabalacat, officially the City of Mabalacat ( pam, Lakanbalen ning Mabalacat; fil, Lungsod ng Mabalacat), is a 3rd class component city in the province of Pampanga, Philippines. Martin Whitaker is an English businessman who is best known for his involvement within motorsport.
