Clackamas High School
Clackamas High School (CHS) is a public high school located in Clackamas, Oregon, United States. The school itself was built in 2002, replacing an older, smaller building built in 1957 which is now Alder Creek Middle School. Starting in the 2010–2011 school year, the campus included the former building of Sunrise Middle School. During the 2021-2022 school year, the East Campus building turned into Rock Creek Middle School. Building and campus Clackamas High School campus lies on with a small wetland nearby. The building itself has of floor space and is much larger than the older school. It has four classroom hallways on two floors, a commons area, an arts wing, and an athletic wing, centered on an administrative ring in the middle of the school. Clackamas is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place (CDP) in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States, and is a suburb of Portland. The population was approximately 7,000 . Clackamas is home to Camp Withycombe, which is a military base, and to a branch of the Kaiser Permanente Hospital. Geography Clackamas is part of the Portland Metropolitan Area and lies approximately southeast of downtown Portland and to the east of Interstate 205 along Oregon Routes 212 and 224 and to the north of the Clackamas River. Benjamin Alen Holmes-Wetzler (born September 12, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago White Sox organization. He attended Oregon State University, and played for the Oregon State Beavers. Wetzler starred for the baseball team at Clackamas High School in Clackamas, Oregon. He then enrolled at Oregon State to play for the Beavers. After his junior year, the Philadelphia Phillies selected Wetzler in the fifth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. Cheryl Elaine Sorenson (born March 18, 1980) was the women's basketball head coach for the Portland Pilots. In March 2019, Sorenson and the University of Portland parted ways. Early life Sorenson was born to Linda and Charles Sorenson in Portland, Oregon and she was the youngest of two children. Lynn Snodgrass
Lynn Snodgrass (née Lynn Dee Grenz, born c. 1951) is a politician in the U.S. state of Oregon. She served in the Oregon House of Representatives. A Republican, she was elected Speaker in 1998, succeeding fellow Republican Lynn Lundquist. At the time, many Republicans felt Lundquist was too accommodating to Democratic Governor John Kitzhaber.
