City Council Of Tampere
City Council of Tampere (Finnish: ''Tampereen kaupunginvaltuusto'') is the highest decision-making organ of Tampere. It consists on 67 members who're elected every four years in the municipal election. The council meets at the Tampere City Central Office Building (sometimes called "The White House") in the city centre. The meetings take place almost always on Mondays. The meetings are sent on radio by Radio Moreeni. The National Coalition Party and the Swedish People's Party have been in a local alliance since the municipal election of 2008. Peter Löfberg, Swedish People's Party, died while in office in May 2021. Latest election Following the 2021 municipal election the Social democrats and the Coalition tied with 17 seats each. Tampere ( , , ; sv, Tammerfors, ) is a city in the Pirkanmaa region, located in the western part of Finland. Tampere is the most populous inland city in the Nordic countries. 2021 Finnish Municipal Elections
Municipal elections were held in Finland on 13 June 2021 after being rescheduled from 18 April due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Context The last municipal elections were held in 2017 and were won by the National Coalition Party with a 20.7 percent share of the votes. Swedish People's Party Of Finland
The Swedish People's Party of Finland ( sv, Svenska folkpartiet i Finland (SFP); fi, Suomen ruotsalainen kansanpuolue (RKP)) is a political party in Finland aiming to represent the interests of the minority Swedish-speaking population of Finland. The Tampere City Central Office Building ( fi, Tampereen keskusvirastotalo; the so-called "White House") is an office building in Tampere, Finland, located on the edge of Tampere Central Square and the city's administrative center. Finnish ( endonym: or ) is a Uralic language of the Finnic branch, spoken by the majority of the population in Finland and by ethnic Finns outside of Finland.
