Circus Mircus
Circus Mircus ( ka, ცირკუს მირკუსი) are a Georgian progressive rock band. The band mostly plays experimental music, mixing numerous genres, each representing a life experience and the "inner world" of each member. They represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song "Lock Me In", placing 18th in the second semi-final, failing to qualify for the final. Circus Mircus consists of four members, who use pseudonyms. Shota Darakhvelidze plays Ludwig Ramírez (bassist), Nika Kocharov plays Igor Von Lichtenstein (vocalist, guitarist), Sandro Sulakvelidze plays Bavonc Gevorkyan (drummer), and Archil Sulakvelidze plays Iago Waitman (vocalist and keyboardist). The Eurovision Song Contest 2022 was the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Turin, Italy, following the country's victory at the with the song "" by Måneskin. Georgia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 14 times, debuting at the 2007 contest. Georgia planned to participate in 2009, but decided to withdraw after the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) demanded it to re-write its song which made reference to the then-Russian prime minister, Vladimir Putin. "Echo" is a song by Georgian singer Iru Khechanovi, released on 16 March 2023. The song represented Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 after Khechanovi won the fifth season of ''The Voice Georgia'', Georgia's national selection to choose their artist for that year's Eurovision Song Contest. Competing in the second semi-final in that year's Eurovision Song Contest, the song failed to qualify for the grand final, finishing in 12th with 33 points. Irina "Iru" Khechanovi (; born 3 December 2000), also known mononymously as Iru (stylised in all caps), is a Georgian singer and songwriter. As a member of the girl group Candy, she won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "Candy Music". Tornike Kipiani ( ka, თორნიკე ყიფიანი; born 11 December 1987) is a Georgian singer. Kipiani started his musical career at the age of 19, forming the band ''The Circular Corner''. In 2012, he auditioned for the Georgian talent show ''Magtifan'' on Maestro (TV channel), Maestro, placing in the top five of the competition. Kipiani also won the first season of ''X Factor Georgia'' in 2014, mentored by Tamta.
