''Cinderella'' (russian: Золушка, Zolushka) is a 1979 animated Soviet film created by the studio Soyuzmultfilm. It is based on Charles Perrault's story, ''Cinderella''. Genrikh Sapgir
Genrikh Sapgir (russian: Ге́нрих Вениами́нович Сапги́р; November 20, 1928, Biysk, Altai Krai, Russia – October 7, 1999, Moscow) was a Russian poet and fiction writer of Jewish descent. Biography He was born in Biysk to a family of a Moscow engineer on a business trip. The family returned to Moscow fairly soon. In 1944 he joined the course of creative writing tutored by the artist and writer . Together with some other of Kropivnitsky's students he later formed the so-called of poets and writers, part of the Soviet Nonconformist Art movement. Since 1959 Sapgir published his poetry for children. His other poems appeared only in émigré magazines, such as ''Continent'' and ''Strelets'' (''The Archer''). Charles Perrault ( , also , ; 12 January 1628 – 16 May 1703) was an iconic French author and member of the Académie Française. He laid the foundations for a new literary genre, the fairy tale, with his works derived from earlier folk tales, published in his 1697 book ''Histoires ou contes du temps passé'' (''Stories or Tales from Past Times''). Mikhail Nikolayevich Baryshnikov ( rus, Михаил Николаевич Барышников, p=mʲɪxɐˈil bɐ'rɨʂnʲɪkəf; lv, Mihails Barišņikovs; born January 28, 1948) is a Soviet Latvian-born Russian-American dancer, choreographer, and actor. He was the preeminent male classical dancer of the 1970s and 1980s. He subsequently became a noted dance director. Born in Riga, Latvian SSR, Baryshnikov had a promising start in the Kirov Ballet in Leningrad before defecting to Canada in 1974 for more opportunities in Western dance. After dancing with American Ballet Theatre, he joined the New York City Ballet as a principal dancer for one season to learn George Balanchine's neoclassical Russian style of movement.
