Ciel Tower
The Ciel Tower is a skyscraper under construction in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. At over 360 meters high, the tower will be the tallest hotel-only building in the world when completed. Architecture and planning The skyscraper is being built according to plans by the Dubai-based architectural firm NORR in the Dubai Marina district in the immediate vicinity of the sea. The sculpture-like design is characterized by tapers in the upper and lower parts of the building, a silver-colored facade and concise recesses in the upper part of the building. A bar and infinity pool will be located there. Over 1,042 rooms, including 150 suites, are to be spread across the tower's 82 floors. Dubai Marina
Dubai Marina ( ar, مرسى دبي), aka Marsa Dubai, is a district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is an artificial canal city, built along a stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. As of 2018, it has a population of 55,052. When the entire development is complete, it will accommodate more than 120,000 people in residential towers and villas. It is located on Interchange 5 between Jebel Ali Port and the area which hosts Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and the American University in Dubai. The first phase of this project has been completed. Dubai Marina was inspired by the Concord Pacific Place development along False Creek in Vancouver, BC, Canada. This is a list of hotels in Dubai. Dubai leads in the world's highest hotel occupancy rates. In 2006, the Dubai hotel occupancy rate was 86%, the highest ever in Dubai. As of 2019, there were 544 completed and operating hotels and 100,744 hotel rooms in Dubai. In 1993, the city had 167 hotels with 9,383 rooms, while the number shot up to 272 hotels and doubled the number of rooms to 23,170 in 2002. In 2005, it increased to 28,999 rooms. In 2008, the hotel rooms jumped to 43,419, with 6,105,813 hotel guests and a 70 percent occupancy rate. In 2009, the number of hotel rooms increased to 58,188. In 2010, it jumped to 67,369 rooms, an increase of 9,181 in one year due to the massive rise in visitor arrivals.
