Cidade Negra
Cidade Negra ( pt, Black City) is a Brazilian reggae band formed in 1986 in Rio de Janeiro. Their style is influenced by soul and rock music. Common themes of Cidade Negra songs include love and social issues. History The band reached success in 1991, with the album ''Lute pra Viver'' (Fight to Live), including the radio hit "Falar a Verdade". Ras Bernardo was the first vocalist. Garrido at the time was the vocalist of Banda Bel. He entered in Cidade Negra after their second album, in 1993. Formed in Baixada Fluminense, the band has placed hits in soap operas, like the frustrated remake of ''Irmãos Coragem'', broadcast in Rede Globo in 1995. ''Sobre Todas as Forças'' is the third album by Brazilian reggae band Cidade Negra, released in 1994. The track "Onde Você Mora" was requested by producer Liminha to Nando Reis. Reis then showed two different songs to co-songwriter Marisa Monte Marisa de Azevedo Monte (Brazilian Portuguese: /maˈɾizɐ dʒi azeˈvedu ˈmõtʃi/) (born 1 July 1967) is a Brazilian singer, composer, instrumentalist, and producer of Brazilian popular music and samba. As of 2011, she had sold 10 milli ... and she suggested he joined them. The section beginning with "Cê vai chegar em casa..." was then added to the rest of the song. When he presented the song to Liminha and the band, Reis thought they were unimpressed, but Liminha later called him and told him he heard his little daughter, who was in the studio when Reis played the song, humming the song and saying it was beautiful. CPM 22 is a Brazilian melodic hardcore band from São Paulo formed in 1995. Band members are Badauí (vocals), Luciano (guitar), Phil (guitar), Ali (bass) and Daniel (drums). History With influences from the Ramones, the Misfits, Buzzcocks, Face to Face, Pennywise, Green Day, and other old school punk and hardcore legends, CPM 22 recorded their first demo tape in 1998.
